Disney has annouced some important updates for D23 Gold Members who are looking to ride TRON as soon as possible. The new TRON ride, which opens to the public on April 4th, 2023, will be available much earlier to those with a D23 Gold Membership at a special ticketed event. This early access, however, will come at a high price.
Tron Preview for D23 Gold Members Announced
TRON Lightcycle/Run, which is located in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, has been one of the most highly anticipated Disney attractions of the last decade. After almost six years of waiting, Cast Members have been able to preview the TRON coaster in Magic Kingdom for the last few weeks. While the roller coaster has gotten some negitive feedback on the size-exclusive ride vehichles, most of those Guests and Cast Members who have ridden TRON during the Cast Member previews have raved about it.
Disney Guests have been eager to ride as soon as possible. Exciting news came today when it was annouced that D23 Gold Member would be able to ride TRON Lightcycle/ Ride at a special preview event on Saturday, March 18, 2023. This means that ticketed those with a D23 Gold Membership would get to ride the TRON roller coaster almost a month before the general public will.
While this news is incredibly exciting, some fans were suprised to see the hefty price tag attached to the ride. To ride TRON Lightcycle/Run, every D23 Gold Member must purchase a ticket. Tickets are $50 + $7 in processing fees. This is a high price for a ride that will be open to public Guests on April 4th, not long after.

Tickets for TRON Lightcycle/ Run will go on sale this Wednesday, February 15. Sales wuill start at 10 am PT/ 1 pm ET. The D23 page explains that tickets will be capped to comply with the Park Reservation Guidelines of Walt Disney World. Once the ticket link is live, D23 Gold Members will enter a virtual queue until they are given the opportunity to buy tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, and Disney cannot guarentee tickets for every D23 Gold Member.
