“It’s the holiday season, and Santa Claus is comin’ round. The Christmas snow is white on the ground”

Okay, so maybe there isn’t real snow on the ground at Walt Disney World Resort, but it is the holiday season! Decorations are beautifying each of the four theme parks, holiday music is being piped in, and there is a ton of fun and festive food to fill your belly.

What’s exciting about this holiday season is that Walt Disney World is still celebrating its 50th Anniversary. This means that you get two celebrations in one!

As part of the 50th, Disney introduced 50 gold statues of classic and new characters throughout Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT. These statues are called the Fab 50.

With the holiday season now upon us, Disney decided to give the statues a little twist. One of the fun features of Disney’s new MagicBand+ is that Guests can interact with the Fab 5o. And now, the statues will say fun and sweet things about what the holidays mean. Some will even wish Guests Happy Holidays!

Disney Parks shared a video of some of the adorable, limited-time, Fab 50 interactions.

Disney has not said how long these interactions will last. The holiday season will run from November 11 through December 31, so it is possible that the Fab 50 statues will go back to their traditional phrases in the new year.

Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary will run through March 31, 2023. Disney has not said if the Fab 50 statues will remain in the Disney Parks or if they will be removed once the celebration is over.
