Jaleo Disney Springs invites Guests to celebrate World Tapas Day on June 15. This holiday commemorates the history and popularity of the traditional Catalan style of dining. The restaurant’s chef and international culinary icon, JosĂ© AndrĂ©s, was instrumental in bringing this unique dining style to the United States. Since his arrival from Spain in 1993, he has used his popularity and restaurants around the country to educate and introduce the small-plate format to diners. At Jaleo, AndrĂ©s takes tapas to new and modern applications while embracing traditional tapa dishes.

Boasting in flavor and creativity, Jaleo’s tapas include Gambas al Ajillo, shrimp sautĂ©ed with garlic, or Berenjenas con Miel, fried eggplant with honey and lemon zest. Other fan favorites include Patatas Bravas and Pan con Tomate.

About Megan Losey

As a Disney foodie, I love writing about Disney food and snacks. Some of my favorites are the Carrot Cake Cookie from Trolley Car Cafe, the Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans French Quarter, and the Apple Blossom from Port Orleans Riverside. When I'm visiting the parks, you can find me on Main Street taking in the good vibe of Magic Kingdom or relaxing with a drink at the Polynesian watching the fireworks from the beach. As a previous Cast Member, I will always have a special place in my heart for the Magic Kingdom, especially Main Street U.S.A.
