Disney World Guests at Deluxe Hotels Can Now Get a VIP Ride — But It Comes at a Cost

In recent years, Walt Disney World Resort has made several changes to its guest services, and not all have been met with praise. Among the most notable of these changes was the discontinuation of the beloved Magical Express in 2022. The free transportation service to and from the airport was a long-standing perk that many Disney fans fondly remembered.

Since then, visitors have had to rely on other options like Uber, Lyft, or Mears Connect, with many lamenting the loss of a convenient and complimentary service.

However, Disney has now announced a new perk for guests staying at Deluxe Disney World Resort hotels, and it’s bound to turn heads.

Beginning on August 11, 2025, guests at select Disney hotels will have access to an exclusive new transportation option that brings a touch of Disney magic back to their airport travel. The introduction of the Minnie Van service offers a new, exciting way to get from the airport to your hotel — but there’s one major catch.

Minnie Van Service Rolls Out to Deluxe Hotel Guests

For those staying at some of Disney World’s most luxurious properties, the Minnie Van service will soon be available. This transportation option is designed to make airport arrivals and departures feel more special, as guests can book a Minnie Van directly through the Disney Signature Services.

Guests staying at any of these hotels will be able to book the Minnie Van service, starting on August 11, 2025, to travel between their Disney Resort and Orlando International Airport. The Minnie Van is known for its charming design and plush ride, adding that extra Disney touch to your travel.

How Much Does It Cost?

While the Minnie Van offers a premium experience, it comes with a hefty price tag. Guests will be able to book the service up to 60 days in advance by calling the Disney Signature Services at (407)-939-7777. However, this convenience doesn’t come cheap. A one-way trip will cost guests $199, not including tips for the driver.

For comparison, rides with Uber or Lyft generally range between $35-$50 per trip, and Mears Connect provides a more affordable option with prices of $16 per adult and $13 per child for guests traveling from Orlando International Airport to Disney hotels.

This makes the Minnie Van service a considerably more expensive option, but one that may appeal to those looking for a higher level of comfort and convenience during their vacation.

What’s the Catch?

While the Minnie Van service offers a more comfortable and private ride than traditional options, the price tag is steep. For families or groups, the cost might seem prohibitive compared to other transportation methods. Plus, the Minnie Vans are available for up to six passengers, with wheelchair-accessible options that can accommodate up to seven guests.

For those looking to make their Disney trip a little more magical, the Minnie Van service could be a fun and luxurious way to kick off their vacation, provided they’re prepared to pay the premium.

Aside from airport transfers, the Minnie Van service will continue to be available for travel to various destinations within the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can use the service to get to other Disney hotels, including the Swan and Dolphin, Shades of Green, and Four Seasons Resort Orlando, as well as the Swan Reserve.

The price for these in-resort rides will depend on the distance between the pickup and drop-off points, so guests can expect some variability in cost.

What do you think about Disney’s new Minnie Van service for Deluxe Resort guests? Do you think it’s a fun and convenient option, or will the cost keep you from trying it out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
