The Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom is an exquisite spot for a refreshing drink. Relax with a cocktail before enjoying taking in The Festival of the Lion King’s or dining with your favorite characters next door.

Guests can find the Dawa Bar in Africa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in the Harambe Village. The bar is right outside the Tusker House Restaurant, a Character Dining experience where you can dine with Mickey Mouse and friends. Nearby Dawa Bar, you’ll find the shops of Harambe Village, including Mombasa Marketplace, Zuri’s Sweet Shop, and Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery. Guests can also find the nearby Harambe Market Quick Service restaurant and the Haramabe Fruit Market.

The Dawa Bar is a Quick Service dining location, allowing Guests to walk up to the bar without needing a dining reservation. The bar serves refreshing beverages from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Atmosphere

This African-themed dining location shares the rustic feel of the nearby outdoor markets. The ambiance of Animal Kingdom’s Africa creates a beautiful setting for the Dawa Bar, allowing you to relax while dining. Enjoy a drink while watching for a show from the Harambe Village Acrobats or the Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe.

Dawa Bar African Margarita

The menu features specialty cocktails, imported draft beer, assorted domestic beer, specialty beer, and white and red wines. Specialty cocktails include the African Margarita, Lost on Safari, Harambe Iced Tea, and Ngumu Jungle Juice which features the famous Tusker Jungle Juice. Specialty beers include Old Elephant Foot IPA, Victory Golden Monkey Triple Ale, and Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider. Wines feature a Jam Jar Sweet White Wine, Beyond Sauvignon Blanc, the Opici Family Sangria, and Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon. Guests can find the complete menu on the My Disney Experience app.

Dining Tips

Although the Dawa Bar is open into the evening, we recommend visiting closing to its opening or closing times to avoid the crowds that come midday. Additionally, if you visit later in the evening, depending on the season, you may catch a golden hour view of Animal Kingdom Park while enjoying your drink.
