We have finally confirmed some critical Disney news regarding one of Walt Disney World’s most popular entertainment options.

Walt Disney World is no stranger to creating magical experiences, and this year, they have outdone themselves with two incredible nighttime shows. Depending on when you visit the Parks this year, you can expect to see two different, but both exceptional, nighttime spectaculars. Today, Disney announced just what the timelines for these show’s transitions will look like.

A Change for Evenings at EPCOT

Right now, EPCOT Forever is currently performing nightly at EPCOT. EPCOT Forever is an incredible show that pays tribute to the past, present, and future of EPCOT. It celebrates the Park’s rich history and the many memories created by Guests throughout the years. From the iconic Spaceship Earth to the World Showcase, EPCOT Forever showcases the essence of what makes this Disney park so beloved and unique.

The show takes place on the World Showcase Lagoon, offering a stunning backdrop for the fireworks and lighting effects. As you gather with other guests around the lagoon, you’ll be transported into a world of imagination and nostalgia. The music, featuring beloved tunes from the theme park’s past, adds an extra layer of emotion to the experience.

This show has been a favorite for many years, but unfortunately, its time at EPCOT is coming to a close. However, just because it will finish performances for 2023 does not mean that it couldn’t possibly come back in the future. In fact, EPCOT Forever has been performing sporadically since 2021. While many fans love this show, the general consensus is that Guests are ready for something new. It has seemed like EPCOT Forever has lasted… forever.

‘Luminous’ Prepares for Debut

Following the closure of EPCOT: Forever, a new show is ready to make its debut. Luminous: The Symphony of Us is a brand-new nighttime spectacular debuting at EPCOT’s World Celebration neighborhood in early December. This show promises to be a celebration of the human spirit and all the connections we share. Through a combination of state-of-the-art technology, music, and stunning visuals, Luminous will immerse Guests in a breathtaking experience like no other.

EPCOT: Forever will be celebrating its final performance on December 4, with Luminous: The Symphony of Us making its debut on December 5.
