Six-year-old Sebastian Foster was born with chronic kidney disease, which means that he has spent most of his young life in and out of hospitals. Thankfully, Sebastian was able to receive a much-needed kidney during the pandemic and he is finally healthy enough to do something that he has not been able to — travel. With that in mind, the non-profit organization Baking Memories 4 Kids surprised the youngster and his family with a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Sebastian’s mother told several news outlets what the trip means to her son and their family during this Christmas season, saying:

“He’s been asking to go to Disney for a long time, so he’s excited…This will be actually our first trip as a whole family. We were supposed to go to Disney a few years ago, and the week we were supposed to be in Disney, he got admitted to the hospital.”

Baking Memories 4 Kids was started by Frank Squeo in 2013 after he survived Stage 3 cancer. Here is more information on the charity and the amazing work that they do to help sick children and their families.

Baking Memories 4 Kids, a non- profit (501 (c)(3) foundation, utilizes the money generated from our cookie sales in a very special way, we make memories. From each container sold and every donation received, we are able to provide children with life threatening and /or terminal illnesses and their families an all-expense paid vacation to ALL the theme parks in Orlando, Florida. For one week, these courageous families can focus on each other in a positive, uplifting environment instead of beside a hospital bed. We recognize that having a loved one who is ill affects more than just the person afflicted, it encompasses the world of everyone around them. We give them the opportunity to create amazing, lifelong memories that may be a form of comfort for their journeys ahead.

In the eight years that the non-profit has been in existence, they have sent 250 families to Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios. Families that are selected receive an all-expenses-paid trip, which includes front-of-the-line access to the great attractions the Parks have to offer.
