On a hot Park day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Caravan Road is the perfect spot to cool off with a refreshing, frozen, shaved iced snack.
Location
Guests will find Caravan Road in Animal Kingdom’s Asia, as it’s one of the first dining locations they’ll meet when traveling from Africa to Asia. Nearby dining locations include Mr. Kamal’s and the Warung Outpost. Caravan Road is also close to popular attractions like Feathered Friends in Flight!, Maharajah Jungle Trek, and Kali River Rapids.
Quick Service or Table Service?
Caravan Road is a Quick Service dining location. This means Guests can simply walk up to the kiosk to order without needing any reservation. This restaurant has more abridged hours than most Animal Kingdom dining locations. It’s open, serving frozen feats from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Atmosphere
This small dining kiosk shares the tranquil feel of Animal Kingdom’s environment. With nature and wildlife all around you, the immersive atmosphere allows Guests to relax with their frozen snack of choice while enjoying the stunning views of the Tree of Life.
Menu Options
Don’t let the simple menu at Caravan Road convince you that their unique offerings won’t impress your tastebuds! The menu features Shaved Ice desserts with or without alcohol added to the snacks. Nonalcoholic snacks include Watermelon, Mango Passion Fruit, or Pina Colada flavored Shaved Ice. Caravan Road also offers signature snacks like the Tropical Slushy, with Watermelon Shaved Iced and Mango Syrup, and the Kakigori, a Japanese Shaved Ice Dessert flavored with Watermelon and Sweetened Condensed Milk. The restaurant’s alcoholic drink offerings include all menu offerings with added Snow Leopard Vodka and assorted beer. Guests can find the complete menu on the My Disney Experience app.
Dining Tips
It can be tempting to wait for the perfect picture in front of the Tree of Life in Discovery Island, but Caravan Road’s location can also be a fantastic spot for a photo in front of the iconic landmark. You may find that this area in Asia is less crowded than Discovery Island, meaning fewer Guests are in the background of your photos. We recommend grabbing shaved ice and taking great pictures at this beautiful location.
