Despite anxiety over the construction and final unveiling of part of Disney World’s overhaul to EPCOT’s central location at the front of their park, fans, being excited that the end is in sight, don’t seem overall thrilled with this particular finished project.

World Celebration at EPCOT

World Celebration, the interactive land that is home to Spaceship Earth, CommuniCore Hall, Dreamers Point, and many other attractions, has been under construction for what seems like an eternity, but as the walls have started coming down, the reality of Walt Disney World and it’s newest offering is setting in for some based on first looks.

EPCOT’s World Celebration is a vibrant and dynamic area within the Walt Disney World Resort that offers a multitude of experiences for visitors of all ages. With its innovative design and immersive attractions, World Celebration is a must-see destination for anyone exploring Disney’s magic.

Disney’s plan to overhaul the area, which serves as the focal point for many of EPCOT’s signature festivals, including The International Festival of the Holidays, as well as remodeled favorites such as the fiber optic pathways lights that fans adore.

EPCOT’s New Addition

One of the highlights of World Celebration is the World Celebration Gardens, a stunning collection of meticulously curated green spaces that pay homage to the diverse cultures and natural beauty of our world. These gardens are a visual feast of colors and textures, inviting guests to stroll through lush landscapes and discover hidden corners of tranquility.

Each garden within World Celebration tells a unique story, fusing horticulture and artistry to create a sensory experience unlike any other. From the vibrant blooms of the International Flower and Garden Festival to the enchanting landscapes inspired by different countries in the World Showcase, these gardens are a testament to Disney’s dedication to creating immersive environments that transport guests to different corners of the world.

But the World Celebration Gardens are not just about aesthetics. They also serve as a gathering place for live performances, cultural presentations, and special events. Whether you’re enjoying a concert at the Garden Rocks stage or participating in interactive workshops during the International Festival of the Arts, there’s always something exciting happening amidst the natural beauty of the gardens.

First Look

Social media insiders and other park visitors got their first look at the new World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT today, and responses online have been mixed, to say the least.

Although many are happy to see the final product taking shape, as navigating the park has been a nightmare for some time, others aren’t jumping for joy over the new additions to EPCOT’s World Celebration.

Ashely Carter, on X, shared some first look photography of the new area, which we must say, is gorgeous. However, although most commenters agree with us, it isn’t without their own opinion about the massive project.

Some have noted that they don’t think that the gardens were worth losing the very popular EPCOT fountains, while others equate the new area to the patio section of a nicer hotel.

However, despite their qualms, there is one feature presented in these first photographs of World Celebration Gardens that I think we can all get behind, and X users are expressing their thankfulness as well.

Seating is always an issue at EPCOT. During massive festival and events, it isn’t uncommon to struggle finding a place to rest your feet while enjoying festival food and drink, in World Showcase or any other part of the park for that matter.

The addition of more seating seems to always be a welcome sight among Walt Disney World guests, and commenters were quick to point out their pleasure of having more places to take a load off, despite their misgivings with the aesthetic and theme of the gardens.

Other Additions to World Celebration at EPCOT

Another upcoming addition to World Celebration is Dreamers Point, an elevated area than the Gardens that will boast stunning views of World Showcase Lagoon. This tranquil spot will be home to a grand statue of Walt Disney himself, paying tribute to his visionary legacy and inspiring future generations of dreamers.
