At 10:08 a.m. on October 5, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office fielded a 911 call describing an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The call was relayed by @WDWActiveCrime, an X (formerly known as Twitter) account that tracks law enforcement activity across the Central Florida Disney properties:

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 10/5/26 10:08 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The map image included with the post places the incident on a walkway at the park’s edge. That pin may not be accurate, though. Calls from Walt Disney World Resort’s theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are often tagged with a generic address rather than the exact location, so the true location of the battery incident on October 5 remains unknown.

Walt Disney World Resort and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office have both stayed silent on the matter. Who was involved, how many people were involved, how serious any injuries were, and whether those involved were Disney Park guests or cast members have not been disclosed. A published police report or criminal charges could eventually shed more light on the violent incident at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on Monday morning.

The battery incident doesn’t appear to have disrupted anything at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, with operations running normally throughout the day on October 5. Walt Disney World Resort guests can proceed with their plans as usual, but should keep clear of any security or law enforcement activity they happen to see.
