Earlier this month, fans were thrilled to learn that Annual Passholders would be getting their Annual Magnet soon. Fans were even more excited when they learned that the magnet would be themed after the loveable dragon Figment!
Now, Disney has announced the details of when and where this magnet will be available for pickup. They also revealed what the magnet will look like. What should be an exciting time for Disney fans has turned into a debate over whether or not the magnet’s art style is appropriate. Nevertheless, Annual Passholders should be ready and make a plan to snag theirs before they run out!
When and Where to Grab Your Figment Annual Magnet
If you are a current Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, this is FOR YOU! Disney has just announced some very important news that you will need to know if you plan to pick up an annual magnet this year.
First things first, the magnet will only be available from May 31 to June 30. The supply for these magnets is limited, so if it is possible, you should try and grab one as early during that time frame as you can. You can pick up your Figment Passholder Magnet at the Creations Shop at EPCOT. The shop will be open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.
This year, there will be no virtual queue available for picking up your magnet. Every Annual Passholder must be ready to present their Annual Pass card and with a government-issued ID. Linked MagicBand, MagicBand+, or Disney MagicMobile Pass also will work in place of the physical Annual Pass card.
Why Are Some Fans Mad?!
During a time of celebration like this, it is hard to imagine why fans would be upset. Unfortunately, a lot of discourse has surrounded this announcement. Some out-of-town pass holders are understandably upset that there is no option to ship a magnet to a residence. Since the magnets are only available for a limited time, fans are upset that they will miss out entirely on this Annual Passholder perk.
Other fans, however, are upset for a more critical reason. Some disagree with Disney’s choice to make the figment magnet in the new animation art style. Figment fans take their dedication to the dragon very seriously, and some fans do not think that the new style is appropriate.
Ugh why is he this way? He couldn’t be regular figment?!?!? SMFH

On the other side of things, many believe that this new look is totally adorable and makes for a perfect magnet. If you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder looking to pick one of these magnets up, good luck and plan ahead!
