A New Disney Experience Is Turning Heads—and It’s Just for Adults

For years, adult Disney fans—often dubbed “Disney Adults”—have floated the same idea: Why doesn’t Disney offer something just for grown-ups? From message boards to park conversations, the suggestion would pop up every now and then, sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously. Well, it looks like Disney was listening.

EPCOT has quietly debuted something brand new, and it’s not just another seasonal event or limited-time offering. This is a permanent addition that’s exclusive to guests 21 and older. Whether you think that’s a bold move or a bit surprising, one thing is clear—it’s unlike anything Disney has done before.

The lounge is called GEO-82, and yes, it comes with a signature popcorn bucket too. Because what’s a Disney launch without one?

GEO-82 Lounge Brings Adult-Only Vibes to EPCOT

Nestled inside the iconic geodesic sphere of Spaceship Earth, GEO-82 is Disney’s first adults-only lounge. The name is a throwback to 1982, the year EPCOT opened, but the design and atmosphere are anything but retro. With its sleek decor and mood lighting, this spot feels like a stylish escape from the typical theme park hustle.

The menu leans heavily into elevated offerings. Think craft cocktails like a Brown Butter Old Fashioned or a zero-proof “Manhattan in the Morning.” Food-wise, it’s small plates with a global flair—items like Truffled Ahi Tuna and Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau are a far cry from your usual churros and turkey legs.

But the real head-turner? You must be 21 or older to even walk through the door. It’s a first for EPCOT, and it gives adults a chance to unwind without the buzz of strollers and kid chaos.

Reservations, Exclusivity, and a Bit of Disney Magic

Reservations are required, and seating is limited, making this feel more like a hidden gem than a mass-market experience. It’s a retreat—a tucked-away lounge for those who want to slow down, sip something sophisticated, and recharge in peace.

GEO-82 isn’t just a cool place to grab a drink—it’s a statement. Disney seems to be acknowledging that not every visitor is chasing the next ride queue or character meet-and-greet. Some just want a moment of calm with a good cocktail and an even better view.

A Popcorn Bucket You’ll Probably See All Over eBay

Of course, Disney couldn’t launch something this buzzworthy without a collectible to go with it. Enter the brand-new Spaceship Earth Mickey Balloon popcorn bucket. It’s exactly what you’re imagining—Mickey balloon shape, textured like the EPCOT sphere, and yes, it lights up.

It launched the same day as the lounge and already has fans lining up (and resellers listing it online). There’s a two-per-person limit, but you know how that goes. For many, these popcorn buckets are as much a part of the Disney experience as Dole Whip and fireworks.

What This Means for the Future of the Parks

GEO-82 doesn’t replace anything—it’s just an added experience. And that’s what makes it so interesting. Disney didn’t bulldoze a classic attraction or change something people already loved. Instead, it carved out something fresh, specifically for a group of fans that often feels overlooked.

Will this spark more adult-focused spaces at other Disney parks? It’s too early to say. But with EPCOT now leading the way, it’s possible we’ll see more tailored experiences that cater to a wider range of guest interests.

For now, it’s safe to say Disney adults finally have a space of their own. Whether you’re in it for the elevated drinks, the limited-edition merchandise, or just the serenity of being in a kid-free zone for an hour or two, this is one addition that’s got people talking.

And hey—if kids can have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, maybe it’s okay for adults to have a fancy lounge once in a while.

A frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, Andrew will likely be found freefalling on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean. Over at Universal, he'll be taking in the thrills of the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Revenge of the Mummy
