Disney is making some unusual changes to its ticket prices in 2027.
For years, the cost of visiting Disney’s theme parks has continued to climb. In October 2026, both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort introduced another round of increases, with the most expensive one-day ticket in Florida reaching $229.

Annual passes have become more expensive, too. At Walt Disney World, the Disney Incredi-Pass increased from $1,629 to $1,749, while the Florida resident-exclusive Pixie Dust Pass rose from $489 to $499. Disneyland Resort also raised prices across several ticket tiers.
However, some Disney parks have made more significant changes to their admission systems. At one international resort, annual passes have been unavailable since the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving regular visitors without the option of unlimited entry for a fixed annual price.
Now, that same resort has announced a new ticket promotion offering cheaper admission to students for a limited period in 2027.

Disney Introduces New Student Ticket Discounts for 2027
Starting January 4, 2027, Tokyo Disney Resort will offer discounted admission through its Campus Day Passport program. The promotion covers both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea and will remain available through March 19, 2027.
The offer extends to middle school, high school, university, graduate school, junior college, and technical school students. Eligible visitors can purchase adult tickets for 1,000 yen less than the standard price, while junior tickets will be discounted by 800 yen.
Tokyo Disney Resort uses date-based ticket pricing, meaning the final cost depends on when guests visit. Each Campus Day Passport provides admission to one park for one day, with no option to visit both parks using the same ticket.
There is also no upper age limit. Anyone enrolled at an eligible educational institution can take advantage of the promotion, including international students attending schools outside Japan. Students must bring valid identification, which Disney may request when they enter the park.

The resort has also confirmed that students enrolled in evening classes and distance-learning programs are eligible. Additionally, qualifying 18-year-old high school students can purchase tickets at the discounted junior rate.
Tickets went on sale November 4, 2026, through the official Tokyo Disney Resort website and app, as well as participating convenience stores. However, guests cannot purchase the discounted passports at ticket booths outside either theme park.
Disney also advises that tickets purchased online cannot be canceled or refunded for personal reasons. Admission dates can be changed within the promotion’s validity period, provided the new date has not sold out.
This is not the first student promotion at Tokyo Disney Resort. The operator previously introduced College Passports in early 2025 and 2026, followed by another limited-time discount for college students in September 2026.

Special Disney Events Coincide With Cheaper Admission
The ticket promotion overlaps with several major events at Tokyo Disney Resort, including the final months of Tokyo DisneySea’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
Beginning January 13, the park will present Sparkling Jubilee Celebration Finale, an updated version of its anniversary harbor entertainment featuring Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. The festivities are scheduled to continue through March 31, 2027.
Tokyo DisneySea will also bring back Tower of Terror: Level 13, a special version of its popular drop tower attraction featuring a more intense ride experience. The temporary overlay will operate from January 13 through March 31.
Meanwhile, Tokyo Disneyland will host Minnie’s Funderland from January 13 as part of the Disney Pal-Palooza event series. Both parks will also celebrate the Japanese New Year with special entertainment from January 1 through 11.

Students visiting Tokyo Disneyland during the promotion will get an early look at changes underway in Tomorrowland. Disney plans to introduce decorations inspired by its upcoming Wreck-It Ralph attraction on February 18.
A new popcorn stand, Popping Station, is also scheduled to open on March 17, just two days before the student ticket promotion ends.
However, discounted ticket holders will miss the official debut of Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, the interactive Wreck-It Ralph attraction scheduled to open on April 15, 2027. A new merchandise location, Pixel Prism, will open alongside the ride.
Tokyo Disney Resort’s regular admission prices already tend to be considerably lower than those at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, although visiting both Japanese parks requires separate tickets.
With annual passes still unavailable at Tokyo Disney Resort, the Campus Day Passport offers eligible students another opportunity to visit at a reduced price before the promotion ends on March 19.
