Christmas is arriving at Walt Disney World, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially introduced a festive change to one of its popular family attractions.
While holiday decorations are appearing throughout the theme park, Disney is also updating some of its attractions to celebrate the season. This year, visitors heading into Toy Story Land will discover something different waiting for them.

Alien Swirling Saucers has officially debuted its 2026 holiday overlay, bringing new Christmas music and a few noticeable changes to the attraction.
Alien Swirling Saucers Welcomes Holiday Overlay
As of November 4, Alien Swirling Saucers is officially operating with its Christmas soundtrack at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The attraction, which opened alongside Toy Story Land in 2018, allows guests to climb aboard colorful spaceships controlled by the little green aliens from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story (1995).
Throughout the ride, the aliens take guests on a spinning adventure set to music.
However, visitors riding during the holiday season will notice that the soundtrack has changed.
According to WDW News Today, Disney has introduced four Christmas songs for the 2026 celebration.

The updated soundtrack includes “Toyland,” “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers,” “Joy to the Swirl,” and “Deck the Halls.”
Although the attraction has featured holiday music before, this year’s soundtrack is different from previous versions.
In the past, guests could hear “Up on the Housetop” and “Deck the Halls.” Disney has now introduced three additional selections while replacing the previous version of “Deck the Halls” with a new recording.
The updated songs will continue playing through January 6.
Disney Makes Another Major Change to the Ride
The new music isn’t the only difference visitors will notice.
Previously, Alien Swirling Saucers alternated between its regular soundtrack and holiday songs. This meant guests could ride during the Christmas season without necessarily hearing seasonal music.
For 2026, Disney has completely replaced the regular soundtrack with Christmas songs.
Every ride will now feature holiday music throughout the seasonal celebration.
The change comes just months after Disney introduced another update to the attraction.
In September, Lilypad, a character associated with Pixar’s upcoming Toy Story 5 (2027), became the attraction’s DJ.

Lilypad also displays games for visitors outside the ride, providing entertainment for people exploring Toy Story Land.
Now, she’s getting involved in the Christmas celebration by playing holiday music for guests passing through the area.
This allows visitors to enjoy some of the seasonal soundtrack even if they don’t board the attraction.
Holiday Experience Available Through January
Alien Swirling Saucers’ Christmas overlay will remain available through January 6, giving families plenty of time to experience the updated music.
Unlike some of Disney World’s separately ticketed holiday entertainment, this experience is included with regular admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The attraction itself hasn’t undergone a major physical transformation, but the new soundtrack gives returning visitors something different to enjoy.
For families visiting Walt Disney World during the holidays, Alien Swirling Saucers now offers another opportunity to celebrate Christmas while enjoying a familiar attraction.
And with four seasonal songs replacing the regular soundtrack, the little green aliens are officially ready for the holidays.
