Disney World Reveals Stunning New Hotel Lounge Just Days Before October 8 Booking Rush
The countdown to Disney’s next major hotel opening is about to enter a new phase.
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge won’t welcome guests until July 2027, but people planning future Walt Disney World vacations won’t have to wait nearly that long to make their stays official.
Reservations open to the general public on October 8, following two earlier booking opportunities for select guests. And with that date approaching, Disney has offered another look at what is taking shape along Bay Lake.
For anyone already considering a stay, there is suddenly even more to consider before booking.
Lakeshore Lodge Arrives in July 2027
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge officially opens July 1, 2027, becoming the newest addition to the Disney Resorts Collection.
Located along Bay Lake, the nature-inspired resort will offer 967 rooms across several accommodation types. Guests will be able to choose among smaller studios, larger villas, and waterfront Lake Houses that offer considerably more space.
Disney animation will play an important role in those accommodations.
Different spaces will draw inspiration from Bambi (1942), Pocahontas (1995), Brother Bear (2003), Fantasia (1940), and Encanto (2021).
The nature theme will continue beyond the rooms.
The Wetlands will provide a large outdoor recreation area with pools, play spaces, and a lazy river. Guests will also receive complimentary Walt Disney World transportation, including boat service to Magic Kingdom.
Now, Disney has revealed another place where guests can enjoy themselves without leaving the property.

Disney Adds Branch & Brush
Branch & Brush will sit just beyond the main lobby at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, offering guests a new lounge overlooking Bay Lake.
The location will serve handcrafted cocktails, creating another option for guests looking to unwind after spending time in the theme parks.
Disney is using the changing seasons as inspiration for the lounge. Natural textures, artwork, and rich colors will help establish that theme throughout the space.
The centerpiece overhead will add another layer to the design.
A color-changing chandelier will represent all four seasons, helping alter the atmosphere inside Branch & Brush.
Guests could begin their day watching the sunrise over Bay Lake and later return to the lounge for a nightcap.
However, Branch & Brush wasn’t the only part of Lakeshore Lodge that Disney provided more information about on October 1.

Disney Offers a Closer Look Inside
The main lobby will continue the nature-inspired approach guests will find elsewhere around the resort.
Floor-to-ceiling windows will offer views of the surroundings, while Disney will incorporate elements inspired by the music and storytelling of Pocahontas (1995).
Guests will also encounter a fiberoptic river that appears to flow through the floor.
The river will move around a custom bronze centerpiece created by Walt Disney Imagineering. Those who examine it closely will discover familiar Disney characters representing decades of animated storytelling incorporated into the design.
Another major piece will hang overhead.
The blown-glass Colors of the Wind sculpture will feature hundreds of suspended glass leaves above the lobby.
These details help connect the resort’s accommodations, recreation areas, artwork, and gathering spaces through its larger nature-driven concept.
But before guests can experience any of it, they have to book a stay.

The Booking Window Opens in Days
Not everyone will have to wait until October 8 to make a reservation.
Disney Vacation Club members get the first opportunity on October 6, when early rental reservations become available through Member Services.
Walt Disney World Annual Passholders follow on October 7.
Then, on October 8, reservations open to the general public. Guests can book through Walt Disney World’s website or call Disney at (407) 934-7639.
Those hoping to visit around the July 1 opening may want to keep several options in mind.
Disney hasn’t said that opening dates will immediately sell out. Still, a completely new Walt Disney World Resort could attract considerable attention once reservations become widely available.
Certain dates or accommodation types could become unavailable as guests make reservations. Anyone targeting opening week, holidays, or another popular period may want backup dates and room choices ready.

The Booking Window Is Almost Here
Guests still have months to wait before they can walk through the doors of Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge.
They won’t have to wait nearly as long to put a trip on the calendar.
Disney’s latest reveal provides another glimpse at how the resort will combine its Bay Lake setting with animation and nature-inspired design.
The next step comes on October 8.
That’s when general reservations finally open, allowing guests to start securing stays ahead of the resort’s July 1, 2027, debut.
