Halloween has arrived at EPCOT in another small but fun way, although Disney waited a little longer than usual to bring this seasonal activity back.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit officially returned on September 25, giving guests the chance to search the park for pumpkins inspired by familiar Disney characters. The scavenger hunt will stick around through November 2, meaning visitors only have a little more than five weeks to participate.
Unlike an attraction that requires guests to dedicate a large part of their day to it, this experience can happen naturally while exploring EPCOT. Guests can search for pumpkins while heading toward rides, restaurants, shops, or their next stop around World Showcase.
And even if you don’t find them all, Disney still lets you collect the prize.
The Pumpkin Hunt Has Officially Started
Guests who want to participate can purchase a Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit game board and stickers for $11.99 plus tax.
The boards are available at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, and World Traveler. Once you have one, the idea is pretty simple: explore EPCOT, find the hidden character-inspired pumpkins, and place the corresponding stickers onto the map.
There are plenty of familiar faces to find this year.
The pumpkin designs include Pluto, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Figment, Olaf, Groot, Dory, WALL-E and EVE, and Chip ‘n Dale.
Mummy Pluto also appears on the game board chasing a Mickey Mouse jack-o’-lantern, adding another Halloween touch to the experience.
Because the pumpkins are spread around EPCOT, guests don’t necessarily need to treat the scavenger hunt as a separate activity. Families can simply keep looking as they make their way around the park.
You Can Still Get the Prize Without Finishing
Anyone who has tried to pack EPCOT into a single day knows plans don’t always go perfectly.
Maybe an attraction has a longer wait than expected. Maybe lunch takes longer. Or perhaps the kids simply get tired of searching for pumpkins.
Fortunately, that won’t prevent guests from getting the keepsake.
Disney does not require participants to complete the entire scavenger hunt before redeeming their game board. Guests can collect their prize at Creations Shop, Port of Entry, or World Traveler whether they found every pumpkin or not.
For 2026, the reward is a mini Mickey Mouse candy bag.
The round bag features Mickey’s face against a black background and includes Mickey ears along the sides. The back features Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit lettering in orange and yellow.
Both game boards and prizes are available while supplies last.
Guests Don’t Have Long to Participate
One of the biggest differences this year is how late Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit arrived.
The event didn’t begin until September 25 and ends November 2, leaving guests with a much smaller window to participate during the Halloween season.
That could make the scavenger hunt especially appealing to guests visiting EPCOT over the next several weeks.
It isn’t a massive Halloween event or something that will completely change a day at EPCOT. Instead, it’s an extra activity families can enjoy while doing everything else the park has to offer.
At $11.99 plus tax, guests get both the scavenger hunt experience and the chance to bring home the mini Mickey candy bag.
Just don’t wait too long. With November 2 approaching and supplies only available while they last, Pluto’s latest EPCOT adventure won’t be sticking around forever.
