Food and drink have always been part of what makes a Walt Disney World vacation memorable, sitting right alongside the attractions, themed lands, merchandise, and classic photo spots. Over time, certain menu items have taken on a life of their own online. Longtime fans will remember the pickle shake and the cheeseburger spring rolls, and more recently, a dessert from Terra Treats joined that conversation.
Meet the Sandwich
Officially named the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich, this treat layers vanilla ice cream between two very different partners: edible cookie dough dotted with chocolate chips and sprinkles on one side, and a rich chocolate brownie on the other. It photographs beautifully, which goes a long way toward explaining why it caught on so quickly with guests.
Starting October 1, 2026, the sandwich gets a seasonal refresh with sprinkles in red, orange, yellow, and green, giving it the look of a crisp autumn afternoon. It is a safe bet that your social feeds will fill up with photos and taste tests once content creators get their hands on it.
A Park That Keeps Growing
While Animal Kingdom tends to be the calmest of the four parks, it offers a thoughtful mix of cultures expressed through its dining and wildlife. That offering will broaden in the years ahead with the arrival of the Tropical Americas land in the space currently occupied by DinoLand U.S.A. Plans include one experience inspired by 2021’s Encanto and another centered on Indiana Jones, along with new places to eat and shop.
A Limited Window
There is no official end date for the fall sandwich yet, though it will probably make way for winter and Christmas offerings as the holidays approach. Treat this as a seasonal item and try it sooner rather than later if it is on your list.
