Marvel Actor Officially Joins the ‘James Bond’ Franchise Ahead of Next 007
James Bond fans are still waiting for Amazon MGM Studios to reveal the actor who will take over the iconic role on the big screen, but 007 is hardly short of new castings elsewhere.
The latest announcement comes from King Zero, Charlie Higson’s upcoming adult James Bond novel, which will now receive an audiobook narrated by British actor Peter Serafinowicz (Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace, Shaun of the Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy).
The book arrives on September 24 and follows Bond as he investigates the murder of an agent in the Saudi desert before becoming caught up in a much larger conspiracy.
The audiobook version will be narrated by Serafinowicz, whose previous credits include Darth Maul in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, the Fisher King in Doctor Who, and Big Daddy in the Sing films. Ian Fleming Publications recently made the announcement via social media:

It’s another example of how many versions of 007 are currently being brought to life while Amazon MGM’s movie remains without its new leading man (although rumor has it he’s already been cast and has simply yet to be announced).
The studio has already assembled its creative team for the next cinematic adventure, with Denis Villeneuve (the Dune films) directing, Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) writing, and Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) and David Heyman (the Harry Potter films) producing.
Amazon MGM said in May that the search for the next Bond was underway but declined to comment on specific casting details.
Meanwhile, Isaac Rouse has been cast as the teenage Bond in Young Bond: SilverFin, with Charlotte McBurney as Wilder Lawless and Higson as Bond’s mentor Michael Merriot. The full-cast audio drama is due in October.
Amazon MGM still hasn’t even announced a release date for its next Bond movie.
