Disney World hotel guests heading to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party can officially start planning where they’ll eat during the big night.
Reservations have opened for dining experiences offered during the Magic Kingdom Christmas event, giving eligible hotel guests an early opportunity to secure a table before booking expands to everyone else.
The new reservation window doesn’t only cover traditional restaurant meals.
Guests can also begin booking Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party, offering another way to build an evening around one of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party’s biggest entertainment offerings.
Hotel Guests Can Book Up to 60 Days Ahead
Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels can make dining reservations up to 60 days before their arrival.
They can also book dining for the length of their stay, with Disney allowing reservations for stays of up to 10 nights.
That’s an important advantage for guests who already have their holiday vacations scheduled.
Christmas can be a popular time to visit Walt Disney World, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party adds another layer of planning.
Visitors aren’t simply deciding which Magic Kingdom attractions they want to experience. They’re also trying to fit special entertainment, food, fireworks, and other party offerings into one evening.
Getting dining reservations settled ahead of time can make that schedule a little easier to manage.
Guests staying elsewhere will be able to begin making reservations on September 9.
Several Magic Kingdom Restaurants Are Taking Reservations
Disney has confirmed four dining locations available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The list includes Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Plaza Restaurant, and The Beak and Barrel.
Those options give guests some variety when deciding how they want to spend their party night.
A table-service reservation could become part of the experience itself. At the same time, guests should remember that eating inside a restaurant takes time away from the party’s other offerings.
That makes the timing of a reservation particularly important.
Someone primarily interested in attractions and entertainment might not want to spend a large portion of the party sitting down for dinner. Another family may see a special meal as an essential part of their Christmas visit.
Both approaches can work. It simply depends on what guests want from their night.
Dessert Parties Offer Reserved Fireworks Viewing
Guests can also make reservations for Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party.
There are two versions available, and both include seasonal snacks served at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.
Both options also provide reserved fireworks viewing.
The difference is where guests watch.
Visitors purchasing the higher-priced experience can remain seated at Tomorrowland Terrace while watching the fireworks.
Guests selecting the lower-priced version head to the Plaza Garden viewing area instead.
For some families, reserved fireworks viewing could be one of the biggest reasons to consider either package.
Finding a preferred location for a nighttime show can take time. During a limited event like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, every part of the evening spent waiting is time that can’t be used somewhere else.
A reserved viewing experience removes some of that uncertainty.
Another Holiday Planning Date Has Arrived
