Epic Universe is getting into the Christmas spirit in a much bigger way this year.
Universal Orlando Resort has revealed several new and returning holiday experiences for the 2026 season, and one announcement is already standing out among theme park fans. For the first time, Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe will receive holiday decorations, joining the rest of the resort in celebrating the season. It’s one of the biggest additions to this year’s festivities and addresses something many guests noticed during the park’s first holiday season.
When Epic Universe celebrated Christmas in 2025, several lands featured seasonal touches, but Super Nintendo World remained exactly as it looked during the rest of the year. Fans quickly questioned why one of the park’s most colorful areas didn’t receive the same festive treatment seen at Universal Studios Hollywood.
That changes this November.
Universal has confirmed that holiday décor will finally arrive inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, although the company hasn’t shared exactly what guests will see. If Hollywood’s version offers any clues, visitors can probably expect Christmas trees, festive lighting, themed decorations, and seasonal details woven naturally into the Mushroom Kingdom.
The addition should make one of Epic Universe’s busiest lands even more popular throughout the holiday season.
Another area receiving more attention this year is How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
Last holiday season, Berk celebrated Snoggletog with a handful of themed trees and a limited-time seasonal food item. While guests appreciated the effort, many hoped Universal would continue building on the land’s holiday atmosphere in future years.
That’s exactly what’s happening.
Universal says Isle of Berk will feature expanded decorations during this year’s celebration. Although the company hasn’t revealed specific details, the announcement suggests guests can expect a more festive Viking village inspired by the beloved holiday traditions featured in the franchise.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will also once again celebrate Christmas throughout Universal Orlando Resort. Decorations will return across all three parks, including the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe, which experienced its first holiday season last year.
One location that remains a question mark is Celestial Park.
The central hub featured holiday decorations during the 2025 season, but Universal didn’t specifically mention whether those displays will return this year. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re gone. Instead, the company may simply be saving additional details for a later announcement as the holidays get closer.
Outside Epic Universe, guests can once again look forward to some of Universal Orlando’s most popular seasonal traditions.
Grinchmas returns to Universal Islands of Adventure, while Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will once again roll through Universal Studios Florida. Both experiences have become annual favorites for families visiting during November and December.
Guests who want an upgraded experience can also reserve the Universal Holiday Tour. Offered on select dates, the guided experience includes reserved viewing for major entertainment offerings along with opportunities to meet the Grinch, Max, and Santa Claus.
Universal also teased the return of seasonal snacks, exclusive holiday merchandise, character encounters, and the Holiday Tribute Store, with more information expected in the coming months.
The entire holiday celebration runs from November 14, 2026, through January 3, 2027.
As Epic Universe enters its second holiday season, it’s clear Universal is continuing to refine its newest park. The addition of Christmas décor inside Super Nintendo World and expanded decorations throughout Isle of Berk should make the park feel far more complete during one of the busiest times of the year, giving guests even more reasons to make Epic Universe part of their holiday vacation plans.
