Disney World is giving Annual Passholders another reason to watch for an upcoming announcement, and this one could bring a first-of-its-kind collectible to the program.
Disney has started teasing its next Annual Passholder magnet without actually revealing the character. Instead, the company shared artwork and carefully chosen clues that appear to be pointing fans toward The Muppets.
More specifically, Kermit the Frog seems like a strong possibility.
Disney hasn’t confirmed Kermit yet, so the character remains speculation. However, if a Muppet does appear on the finished design, this would become the first-ever Muppet Annual Passholder magnet offered at Walt Disney World.
For longtime magnet collectors and Muppet fans, that could make this release particularly interesting.
Disney Drops Some Interesting Clues
Disney’s teaser takes Passholders somewhere that should immediately look familiar to anyone thinking about a certain famous frog.
The artwork features a green pond environment surrounded by lily pads, water lilies and cattails. There’s even a hidden Mickey worked into one of the lily pads. Another image adds mushrooms to the setting.
That alone doesn’t confirm Kermit. Disney has plenty of characters connected to frogs, ponds and similar environments.
The wording accompanying the teaser, however, makes the Muppet theory harder to ignore.
Disney describes the mystery character as someone accustomed to being in the “spotlight.” The company is also teasing “showstopping” experiences and references Passholders feeling like stars.
Then there’s a particularly interesting reference to rainbows being on the horizon.
Put a frog-like setting together with the spotlight, show business and rainbow references, and it’s easy to understand why Kermit has quickly become one of the leading guesses.
Disney still has room to surprise everyone, though. Until the company actually reveals the magnet, fans shouldn’t consider Kermit confirmed.
A First for The Muppets at Disney World
The biggest part of this potential reveal isn’t simply that Kermit could receive another piece of Disney merchandise.
If the clues really are leading toward Kermit or another Muppet, this would be the first Muppet AP magnet in Disney World’s history.
Disney has used Annual Passholder magnets as recurring giveaways for years, featuring plenty of recognizable characters along the way. The Muppets, however, haven’t been represented with their own AP magnet.
That makes the timing especially notable.
The Muppets have recently entered a new era at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opened in May 2026, giving the characters a major attraction after Muppet*Vision 3D permanently closed in 2025.
An Annual Passholder magnet could continue Disney’s recent attention on the franchise.
And if Kermit really is coming, Disney seems to be building an entire Passholder promotion around the release rather than simply handing out magnets.
Additional Passholder Perks Are Coming
Disney has already confirmed that Passholders can expect more than the mystery magnet.
A special Disney PhotoPass experience is planned, along with a limited-time sweet treat. Disney hasn’t provided complete details about either offering yet.
It also hasn’t announced exactly when the magnet will become available or where Passholders will need to go to receive it.
Those details should become clearer once Disney finally reveals the mystery character.
For now, The Muppets remain the big theory.
Disney has given fans a pond, references to show business, a character who enjoys the spotlight and a tease involving rainbows. That’s quite a collection of clues for Kermit fans to consider.
And if the famous frog ultimately appears when Disney removes the mystery surrounding its newest collectible, Passholders will have something they’ve never been offered before.
