At 12:38 a.m. on July 12, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a battery incident at Disney Springs. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/12/26 12:38 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney Springs
#WaltDisneyWorld #Disney

The Google Maps pin attached to the alert places the response at the general center of Disney Springs — a standardized location used to track emergency calls at the district rather than a precise indicator of where the incident actually took place. The exact spot within Disney Springs where the battery occurred hasn’t been confirmed.

Very little is known about the people involved or the extent of any injuries sustained. Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued a statement about the overnight call, and further details are likely to surface only if a police report is filed or criminal charges follow.

Sunday Looks Normal at Disney Springs

For guests with plans at Disney Springs or any of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on Sunday, the overnight incident isn’t expected to cause any disruption. The My Disney Experience app and official resort channels show everything at Disney Springs operating normally in the aftermath of the early morning law enforcement response.

Guests who find themselves near any kind of security or law enforcement activity at Walt Disney World Resort should give the area space and follow all directions from cast members and officers on the scene.
