Tokyo Disney Resort is raising the price of admission once again, with guests set to pay the highest one-day ticket prices in the destination’s history later this year.

As Disney parks around the world continue adjusting pricing strategies, guests have increasingly voiced concerns over the overall cost of a vacation. Admission prices, Lightning Lane purchases, hotel rates, and parking fees have all climbed in recent years. Those higher costs have coincided with softer attendance at some destinations, particularly Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida, though Disney Experiences—the division overseeing Disney’s parks, resorts, and cruise line—has continued to report strong quarterly revenue.
Now, another major Disney destination is following the same trend.
Tokyo Disney Resort has confirmed that its demand-based pricing model will reach a new milestone in 2026, introducing the most expensive one-day ticket ever sold for both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. The pricing update arrives as the resort also prepares for another lengthy suspension of its nightly fireworks entertainment, giving guests planning late 2026 vacations a different experience than they may be expecting.
According to Tokyo Disney Resort, the highest-priced One-Day Passport will now cost 12,400 yen (around $76), establishing a new record for the Japanese resort.

The resort adopted dynamic ticket pricing in 2021, with admission costs changing based on anticipated attendance, holidays, weekends, and seasonal demand. While the latest increase pushes pricing to an all-time high, Tokyo Disney Resort’s most expensive ticket remains well below the peak admission prices regularly seen at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California.
The increase also reflects a wider pattern across Disney destinations, where admission costs have continued to climb as operators invest in new attractions and large-scale projects. Oriental Land Company, which owns and operates Tokyo Disney Resort under license from The Walt Disney Company, has invested billions of yen into expanding the resort in recent years, including the opening of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea in 2024.
Admission prices aren’t the only adjustment guests should be aware of.
Tokyo Disney Resort will once again pause its nightly Sky Full of Colors fireworks spectacular as part of its regular seasonal operating schedule. The final performance before the first break is scheduled for June 14, with performances suspended from June 15 through September 14. A second pause will then take place from September 25 through November 27, meaning the standard nighttime fireworks show will be unavailable for a significant portion of the second half of the year.

Oriental Land Company has not publicly provided a reason for the annual suspension, but similar seasonal breaks have become routine at Tokyo Disney Resort and have appeared on the operating calendar in previous years.
Even without the nightly fireworks presentation, guests will still have nighttime entertainment options. “Reach for the Stars,” Tokyo Disneyland’s projection-mapping spectacular, will continue through September 14 before giving way to seasonal entertainment later in the year.
Halloween festivities are expected to bring back Night High Halloween, followed by Starbright Christmas during the holiday season, allowing fireworks to return for select seasonal events.
The resort is also reviving its limited-time 1-Day Park Hopper Passport between July 1 and September 14. The offering allows guests to visit both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea after 11:00 a.m. and, for the first time since Fantasy Springs opened in 2024, Park Hopper guests will also be able to enter the expansion through its themed entrance.

Taken together, the updates highlight Tokyo Disney Resort’s current direction. While admission continues to increase alongside major investment across the property, seasonal entertainment pauses remain a familiar part of the resort’s annual operating calendar.
Anyone planning a visit during the latter half of 2026 should pay close attention to both ticket pricing and entertainment schedules, as the timing of a trip could have a noticeable impact on both cost and the overall guest experience.
