Disneyland Paris is once again attracting attention online after a viral video reignited discussion about guest behavior during one of the resort’s most difficult operational periods in recent years.

The video, shared on TikTok by @laurengabrielle14, was filmed during what the creator described as “the hottest day ever in Paris.” It shows several Disneyland Paris guests stepping into the decorative fountain inside Arendelle at the World of Frozen while leaving their shoes beside the water in an attempt to cool off.
The clip quickly gained traction, collecting more than 370,000 views and 26,400 likes as viewers weighed in on whether the guests’ actions were understandable given the extreme weather or crossed a line inside the Disney park.
The footage emerged after France experienced an intense heatwave that placed much of the country under its highest weather alert. Disneyland Paris faced widespread operational changes as temperatures soared across the resort.
Several outdoor attractions temporarily stopped operating, entertainment offerings outside were scaled back, and some dining locations closed during the worst of the conditions. Guests were encouraged to spend more time in indoor, air-conditioned experiences while cast members worked to keep operations running safely.

The weather also affected the resort’s nighttime spectacular. Fireworks were removed from performances because of government restrictions and heightened wildfire concerns.
Online, reactions to the fountain video were anything but unanimous. Many Disney fans criticized the guests, describing the behavior as “disrespectful,” “shameful,” and “tacky.” Some questioned why cast members did not step in sooner, while others suggested guests should face fines or temporary bans for entering the decorative water feature.
Fans of World of Frozen also expressed disappointment. One commenter said seeing people in the fountain while dressed as Anna would have “made me cry,” while another joked that Olaf must have ended his meet-and-greet because “he melted.”
Others, however, defended the visitors. Several commenters pointed to the record-breaking temperatures and argued the heat was far more intense than they expected, with some even comparing it unfavorably to summer visits to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Some believed Disneyland Paris should provide additional shaded seating, misting stations, and cooling areas during periods of extreme weather.

The location of the incident also became part of the conversation, with many making jokes about guests seeking relief inside a Frozen-themed area while references to Elsa and “Frozenland in summer” spread throughout the comments. The timing of the incident came just months after Disneyland Paris completed one of the largest developments in its history.
Earlier this year, the resort officially unveiled Disney Adventure World, replacing the former Walt Disney Studios Park with a dramatically expanded destination. The project introduced Adventure Way, Adventure Bay, and the long-awaited World of Frozen, which has quickly become one of the park’s signature experiences.
While guests continue discovering the new park, Disneyland Paris has already revealed another milestone for World of Frozen. For the first time, the land will become part of Disney Enchanted Christmas, with the resort announcing the news on social media:
“It’s 6 months until Christmas! 🎄🎁 And this year, World of Frozen will join in the Disney Enchanted Christmas festivities from 7th November at @disneylandparis! ❄️⛄️”
Disney Enchanted Christmas remains one of the resort’s biggest annual celebrations, bringing seasonal entertainment, festive character appearances, holiday décor, themed food offerings, and exclusive merchandise throughout the parks.

With World of Frozen centered around snow and winter scenery, the land is expected to fit naturally into the seasonal festivities when Disney Enchanted Christmas returns from November 7, 2026, through January 6, 2027.
From coping with record temperatures and widespread operational adjustments to celebrating the opening of Disney Adventure World, Disneyland Paris has experienced a remarkable few months. Now, attention is shifting from one of the hottest summers on record toward the festive season, with World of Frozen preparing to play a major role in Disney Enchanted Christmas for the very first time.
