DC’s New ‘Batman’ Movie Confirms Full Cast With First Official Trailer
Batman has been portrayed by more actors than almost any other superhero in cinema history.
From Adam West’s campy television incarnation to Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson, every generation has received its own version of the Dark Knight. Soon, DC Studios will add another name to that list when The Brave and the Bold introduces a new Batman for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe.
That casting remains a mystery, but another new Batman has already been revealed.

New Batman Actor Confirmed, New Trailer Arrives
IGN has confirmed the voice cast for Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall, DC and Warner Bros.’ upcoming R-rated animated adaptation of the iconic comic-book storyline.
Taking on the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman is Anson Mount (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds), making him the latest actor to portray Gotham’s legendary vigilante.
He is joined by Michael Mando as Bane and Pablo Schreiber as Jean-Paul Valley/Azrael.
The first official trailer for the new film premiered on June 23. Watch it here:
The film adapts one of the most influential Batman stories ever published.
First released during the 1990s, Knightfall introduced Bane and chronicled the villain’s campaign to systematically break Batman physically and psychologically.
DC’s official synopsis states:
“When the mysterious behemoth known only as Bane frees Batman’s entire Rogues’ Gallery from Arkham Asylum, the Caped Crusader is pushed to his mental and physical breaking point.”
Directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams, the project is expected to launch a three-part animated saga adapting Knightfall, Knightquest, and KnightsEnd.
Reports have also confirmed that the first installment carries an R rating.
While fans continue debating who should lead The Brave and the Bold, Warner Bros. has now officially revealed the next actor to play Batman in any medium. And judging by the source material, Anson Mount’s first outing as the Dark Knight won’t be an easy one.
Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall releases later this year.
