Disney’s Sophisticated Holiday Event Just Got the Confirmation Fans Have Been Waiting For

It’s about 95 degrees outside, but Disney loves to shift the focus to the holiday season around this time each year. It’s a classic Disney move! We are officially at Halfway to the Holidays! Each year, they start dropping hints about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights before the official announcements are made, and this year’s teaser has just been released.

The first clue came in the form of an adorable graphic showing a fireplace with stockings hanging on it. Fans were encouraged to tap each stocking to uncover hidden clues. The caption teased that more secrets will be revealed on June 24. So, make sure to mark that date down, as that’s when we expect the full schedule and pricing details for both holiday parties to be announced.

The Kermit Holiday Stocking Is The One Everyone’s Talking About

Among all the holiday stockings, Kermit’s has generated the most excitement. This is particularly significant since it was the first holiday hint to be revealed today. However, when fans clicked on Kermit’s stocking, they didn’t find Kermit; instead, they discovered Ollie, the gingerbread character who serves as the iconic mascot for Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios.

This is quite noteworthy for those who have been following the updates. Ollie gained tremendous popularity after his debut during Jollywood Nights, and his appearance in the stocking labeled “Kermie” suggests that Disney is signaling the return of the event this year, featuring both Kermit and Ollie.

The choice of Kermit’s stocking is not arbitrary either. Kermit is already associated with Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, where he hosts a holiday show alongside Miss Piggy at the Beauty and the Beast theater. By including Ollie, Disney seems to be linking the two holiday experiences, hinting that both will be back this holiday season.

Quick Refresher On Jollywood Nights

Jollywood Nights is a holiday event designed for adults, offering a more sophisticated alternative to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. While the latter is family-friendly, featuring parades and ride overlays, Jollywood Nights focuses on grown-ups looking for a night out with cocktails, exclusive food options, and character meet-ups, all without the presence of many strollers.

Last year, the event took place over 12 nights from November to December, with ticket prices ranging from $159 to $179 depending on the date. Given that tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party increased this year, it is likely that prices for Jollywood Nights will rise as well. Don’t be surprised if ticket prices reach between $169 and $189, or possibly even higher, based on demand.

So What Happens Tomorrow

Mark your calendars for June 24, as that’s when Disney usually reveals all the details, including dates, pricing, and ticket links for both holiday parties. Today’s stocking reveal serves as a teaser for that big announcement. If the hint about Ollie is any indication, fans of Jollywood Nights have plenty to be excited about.

If you’re planning a holiday trip, this is the week to pay attention. Once the pricing and dates are announced, the popular nights tend to sell out quickly, especially Jollywood Nights, which have become a sought-after experience in recent years.

So, get ready! Talking about Christmas in June might feel unusual, but that’s just the way Disney operates.
