The footage shows European Disney Park guests moving away from the area as smoke rose from the kiosk. A Disney cast member appeared from inside the cart after using a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze, and a second cast member moved through the crowd to steer guests clear of the smoke. The response was swift, the situation was contained, and no injuries have been reported. Attractions, dining, and merchandise locations throughout Frontierland continued operating normally in the aftermath.

Whether the affected popcorn cart has since been closed off or returned to service hasn’t been confirmed by Disneyland Paris Resort, which has not issued any statement about the incident.

Earlier in June, a popcorn cart fire shut down a kiosk in the Central Plaza area near Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park — the first of what has since become a pair of fire incidents at the European Disney park that month. Following that first incident, Disneyland Paris Resort eventually surrounded the affected kiosk with plywood construction walls. It remains to be seen whether the Frontierland cart will receive similar treatment.

Disneyland Paris Resort has not publicly addressed either incident or offered any explanation for what might be causing them.

Guests who find themselves near any kind of emergency response at a Disney park should move away from the scene immediately and follow all directions from cast members and authorities on the ground.
