Hayden Christensen’s Appearances in Star Wars

While Christensen is best known for portraying Anakin in Star Wars: Episode II — Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith (2005), he isn’t the only actor to have brought the character to life over the years.

Jake Lloyd famously portrayed young Anakin in Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace (1999), while Matt Lanter voiced the Jedi Knight throughout Star Wars: The Clone Wars and numerous games, including Disney Infinity 3.0, Star Wars Battlefront II, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

That history now leaves us wondering who is voicing Anakin Skywalker in a new project: Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player tactics title set during the final years of the Clone Wars.

Now, a newly released gameplay trailer reveals that players will encounter several familiar faces from the Star Wars universe. Among them is Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, whose mission briefly intersects with the members of Zero Company. Watch the new trailer below:

The game follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads Zero Company, a group of specialists drawn from across the galaxy.

Players will recruit squad members, manage a base of operations, gather intelligence, and undertake missions against enemy forces as the Clone Wars approach a dramatic conclusion.

According to StarWars.com, the title is “a single-player turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games” that places players in the midst of a “gritty and authentic” story set during the twilight of the conflict.

Who Is Voicing Anakin Skywalker in the Game?

Although Lucasfilm has yet to confirm the casting, the in-game character model bears a strong resemblance to Christensen’s appearance in Revenge of the Sith.

Whether that extends to the voice performance remains unknown. Lanter’s extensive history with the role makes him a big possibility, but some fans are hopeful Christensen may have recorded dialogue for the project.

Christensen has returned to the Star Wars franchise several times in recent years. Following his comeback as Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), he reprised the role once again in Ahsoka (2023), appearing in sequences set during the Clone Wars and within the mysterious World Between Worlds.

The actor is now expected to return for the second season of Ahsoka, though Lucasfilm has not yet announced an official release date for the series.

Star Wars Zero Company launches on August 27.
