Traffic accidents occasionally occur across the property, particularly on major routes such as Buena Vista Drive and World Drive.

Transportation incidents have surfaced before at the resort.

In December 2025, multiple Disney transportation buses were involved in a crash on Buena Vista Drive, resulting in significant vehicle damage and traffic disruption.

Another crash was reported earlier this month on EPCOT Resorts Boulevard.

Emergency incidents elsewhere on Disney property have also made headlines in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, emergency responders were called to the Transportation and Ticket Center and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort area following reports of a near-drowning incident. Authorities investigated the situation, though few details have been released publicly.

Guest-related incidents have also attracted attention.

In May, a woman was arrested following an alleged altercation over restaurant seating at Steakhouse 71 inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Authorities said the dispute escalated into a confrontation involving both a cast member and a manager, with the guest throwing “multiple glasses of water.”

The guest allegedly broke four glasses during the incident.

According to authorities, she told deputies she had overheard cast members discussing her disabled daughter’s interactions with employees at Steakhouse 71.

She also admitted to throwing water at a Disney duty manager and taking his nametag, claiming she needed it to identify him for a complaint.

As of Thursday afternoon, no additional information regarding the crash near EPCOT had been released.
