Disneyland Security Removes Woman Begging for Theme Park Tickets With a Cardboard Sign
On Tuesday, Disneyland Resort security removed a woman from the Southern California property after she was spotted using a cardboard sign to beg for theme park tickets and reservations.
According to witnesses, the guest had traveled over 5,000 miles, from Sweden, to visit Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. However, she failed to purchase theme park tickets in advance or make Disney Park Pass reservations. Even if her family stayed at a hotel nearby, they were unable to access the Southern California Disney parks.
Begging For Disneyland Theme Park Tickets

On June 9, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @magicnextdoor_ shared two photos of a woman holding a cardboard sign in a parking lot at Disneyland Resort. “Looking for a ticket and reservation,” the woman’s sign read.
The Disney Park guest explained that they spoke to the woman, who was visiting Southern California with her husband from Sweden. According to their reporting, the couple didn’t know they needed to purchase theme park tickets in advance or make park reservations. They arrived at Disneyland Resort hoping to buy tickets on site and head into Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park.

It wasn’t long before security arrived and removed the couple from Disneyland Resort property–presumably, without the tickets they’d been begging for.
I think this was the first and only time I ever saw something like this on Disney property. I believe this woman and her husband were from Sweden and didn’t know reservations were required to get into the park. Security got them out of there pretty quickly. 🚔

Disneyland Resort allows guests to purchase theme park tickets on site, but they can’t enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park until 2:00 p.m. without a park reservation. Apparently, the couple didn’t want to wait that long after traveling 5,000 miles.

“I stopped and spoke to her for a moment before asking if I could take a photo,” the X user added. “She was okay with it. I told her that literally NOBODY ever does what she’s doing but she said she didn’t have any other ideas.”

It’s unclear whether the Swedish guests were banned from Disneyland Resort property or simply told not to return without a valid admission.
