Disney Springs Is Hosting a Toy Story 5 Event Most Guests Won’t Be Able to Attend

Disney Vacation Club members are getting access to a special summer perk that many Pixar fans would love to have. Through a limited-time Membership Magic event, eligible members will be able to watch Toy Story 5 (2026) before it arrives in theaters nationwide.

Disney has increasingly used Membership Magic events to offer experiences beyond the theme parks, and this latest opportunity may be one of the most exciting yet for movie lovers. Instead of waiting for opening weekend, qualifying Disney Vacation Club members can attend an advance screening at AMC Disney Springs on June 18, one day before the film officially premieres.

For fans who have followed Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang for decades, seeing the movie early adds an extra layer of excitement.

How the Advance Screening Works

The event is being held at Disney Springs and is reserved for eligible Disney Vacation Club members. Registration opens on June 9, and space is expected to be limited.

Guests who secure a reservation will receive more than just a movie ticket. Disney is also including complimentary popcorn and soft drinks as part of the experience, making it feel more like a special event than a standard theater visit.

The screening gives members the chance to enjoy the film with fellow Disney fans, creating a community atmosphere that many Membership Magic events are known for.

Eligibility Requirements Matter

Not every Disney Vacation Club member will automatically qualify for the screening.

Disney says participants must have a qualifying Disney Resort hotel reservation for June 18. The reservation must be booked through eligible membership points or qualifying cash bookings. Invitations have also been sent to members who live near Walt Disney World.

As with many DVC-exclusive offerings, availability will likely disappear quickly once registration opens. Members who qualify will want to act fast if they hope to attend.

Pixar Returns to One of Its Biggest Franchises

The Toy Story franchise remains one of Pixar’s most successful creations. Since the original film debuted more than 30 years ago, audiences have watched the characters navigate everything from growing up to finding new homes and new purposes.

This latest installment introduces a modern challenge. The toys must deal with a world where technology often competes with traditional playtime. It is a concept that feels particularly relevant today as children spend more time interacting with screens and electronic devices.

That storyline could give Pixar another opportunity to blend humor, emotion, and relatable themes in the way the studio has done so successfully in previous films.

A Growing List of DVC Benefits

Experiences like this show how Disney Vacation Club continues to expand its member offerings.

While resort accommodations remain the primary benefit, Disney has worked to create additional value through exclusive experiences that regular guests cannot easily access. Early movie screenings, member-only events, lounges, and special previews have all become important parts of the membership experience.

For Disney and Pixar fans, getting to see Toy Story 5 (2026) before opening day may end up being one of the most sought-after DVC perks of the summer.
