Disney Left Families Behind Again as the ‘Bluey’ Virtual Queue Vanished for Day Two
Yesterday was opening day, and the Bluey’s Wild World virtual queue filled in seconds. Today is day two, and the same thing happened. The pattern is established, and Bluey families planning Animal Kingdom visits need to adjust their strategy accordingly because this is not going to get easier anytime soon.
The 7 a.m. drop on May 27 closed almost instantly. Guests who attempted to join even 1 or 2 seconds after 7:00 struck the clock were met with a message confirming that the virtual queue was closed to guests not already in a group. One second. Two seconds. That is the entire window between getting a boarding group and spending the day without one.
Disney has confirmed the experience will eventually move to a regular standby queue when demand decreases to a level where the virtual queue is no longer necessary. That transition is not happening this week. Based on two consecutive instant sellouts, it probably won’t happen for several weeks, at minimum.
The 7 a.m. Window and How to Approach It
The 7 a.m. drop is the more accessible of the two daily windows because guests do not need to be physically inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom to join. Valid park admission is the requirement. That means the 7 a.m. attempt can be made from a resort hotel, from home, or from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
The approach that gives families the best chance is to be ready before 7 a.m., not at 7 a.m. Have the My Disney Experience app fully updated and open before the clock changes. Locate the virtual queue section for Bluey’s Wild World before 7 a.m. Have the party pre-selected and ready to confirm. The seconds spent navigating to the correct screen after the window opens determine whether the attempt succeeds or fails.
One to two seconds after 7 a.m. is too late. The app needs to be positioned and ready before the drop begins.
The 10 a.m. Window
Families who miss the 7 a.m. drop have one more opportunity at 10 a.m. The rules are different. Guests must already be physically inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom when the clock hits 10 a.m—not approaching the gates. Not at the parking lot. Inside the park.
Given the instant sellout at 7 a.m. on both days so far, the 10 a.m. window is also expected to move extremely quickly. Have the app ready and the party pre-selected well before 10 a.m. arrives. Every second after the window opens counts the same way it does at 7 a.m.
Guests may only join the virtual queue once per day per experience. There is no second attempt if both windows pass without a successful boarding group.
What the Bluey Virtual Queue Covers
The Bluey’s Wild World virtual queue is required for the full Conservation Station experience, including the Wildlife Express Train from Harambe Station, Bluey’s Wild World itself, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences. There is currently no standby queue, and there is no way to access Conservation Station without a virtual queue return time.
Bluey’s Wild World is part of Walt Disney World’s Cool Kids’ Summer offerings and includes games, activities, dancing, and appearances from Bluey and Bingo. Disney has confirmed the experience continues beyond Cool Kids’ Summer, giving families who cannot secure a boarding group during this high-demand period more opportunities as the summer and fall progress.
Two days. Two instant sellouts. The alarm needs to be set before 7 a.m., and the app needs to be ready before the clock changes.
