Disney World fans woke up to one of the busiest mornings the resort has seen all year.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios officially opened Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets to regular guests today, instantly turning Sunset Boulevard into complete chaos. Meanwhile, over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Bluey’s Wild World officially launched as part of Disney’s larger Cool Kid Summer push, bringing huge crowds of families rushing toward Rafiki’s Planet Watch before the morning was even fully underway.

If you walked into either park today expecting a calm Disney day, things probably got overwhelming pretty fast.
But here is the funny part: the best Disney World parks to visit right now may actually be the ones people are overlooking.
Hollywood Studios Became the Main Event
There was almost no chance Hollywood Studios would stay manageable today.
Disney fans have spent months talking about the Muppets takeover of Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. Between previews, merchandise, Lightning Lane changes, ride testing, and social media hype, today became one of those “everybody has to be there” moments.
The problem is that Hollywood Studios already struggles with crowd flow on normal days.

Once thousands of guests started arriving specifically for the coaster opening, the entire park felt the impact. Wait times quickly climbed at nearby attractions, walkways filled up early, and rope drop crowds spread throughout the park almost immediately.
Even guests who had no interest in riding the Muppets coaster still ended up dealing with the side effects simply because of how many people flooded the park all at once.
Bluey Is Pulling Families Into Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is experiencing a completely different crowd situation, but it may honestly feel just as busy.
Bluey’s Wild World immediately became one of the biggest family draws at Walt Disney World. Parents with younger kids are prioritizing it over almost everything else right now, especially because the experience currently uses a Virtual Queue system.
That means families are rushing to Animal Kingdom early in hopes of securing access.

The issue is that Rafiki’s Planet Watch is not built to handle massive opening-day crowds. Guests must take the Wildlife Express Train just to reach the area, which naturally slows operations and creates backups throughout sections of the park.
Once the crowds arrive, things get tight quickly.
Disney is also dealing with very energetic younger guests packed into one area for activities like Keepy Uppy, character interactions, and play spaces. That energy may work great for kids, but it can definitely make the park feel more hectic for everyone else.
Why EPCOT Might Be the Best Option
While everyone rushes toward Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, EPCOT may quietly become the smartest park choice this week.
The park simply does not have one giant opening-day attraction driving people into the gates. Because of that, attendance feels more balanced overall.
EPCOT also spreads crowds better than almost any Disney park.

World Showcase naturally disperses guests throughout the day, and there is enough space across the park that things rarely feel completely overwhelming unless a major festival weekend is happening.
Even on busy days, guests can usually still find calmer areas around Morocco, Japan, The American Adventure, or the pathways near the United Kingdom pavilion.
Attractions like Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth, and Journey Into Imagination also tend to remain far more manageable compared to the huge waits happening elsewhere today.
Magic Kingdom May Be More Relaxed Than Expected
Normally, Magic Kingdom would be the park people warn you to avoid during a major summer kickoff.
Today may actually be different.
A huge percentage of thrill-seekers shifted toward Hollywood Studios for the Muppets coaster opening, while families with younger kids leaned heavily toward Animal Kingdom because of Bluey.

That leaves Magic Kingdom in an interesting position where crowds may feel busy but still manageable compared to the madness elsewhere.
The biggest advantage is simple: Magic Kingdom has so many attractions.
Guests naturally spread throughout Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square instead of stacking around one single brand-new experience.
For families trying to avoid stressful crowd bottlenecks this week, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT may honestly provide the smoother Disney vacation.
