Disneyland Modernizes Original Turn-Of-The-Century Architecture on Main Street, U.S.A.
A months-long effort to restore one of Disneyland Park’s Victorian landmarks is showing real signs of progress. The end of a construction saga on Main Street, U.S.A., that started last fall may finally be within reach.
Half Done, Half to Go

X (formerly Twitter) user @DLPReport shared two photos on May 18 that captured the current state of the Town Square Gazebo at the entrance to Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park in Paris. The images show two of the structure’s four stairways fully refurbished and clear of construction material, while the other two remain enclosed by large plywood box-shaped barriers.

European Disney Park guests don’t have to wait for the project to wrap up to enjoy the gazebo; the structure remains accessible despite ongoing work on its remaining stairways. Disneyland Paris Resort has not committed to a specific completion date for the refurbishment, but the visible progress suggests the Victorian-style landmark is closer to its fully restored state than at any point since construction began.
That starting point was November 2025, when barriers first appeared around the Town Square Gazebo and set off what has become one of the longer-running maintenance projects currently active anywhere on the Disneyland Paris Resort property. Throughout the months of work, the resort has taken a measured approach, keeping the gazebo open to the public wherever possible rather than sealing it off entirely.
A Park Deep in Renovation Mode

The gazebo project is just one thread in a much larger web of active construction at Disneyland Park. The most consequential ongoing work centers on Sleeping Beauty Castle, where the bridge refurbishment that began in early May has since expanded. New plywood walls appeared at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., just this week, pushing the construction footprint closer to Central Plaza than at any point during the project.
Disney Stars on Parade can no longer run its standard route through Central Plaza, and Disneyland Paris Resort physically reworked a curb in the area to create a modified corridor for the daily entertainment offering to navigate while construction is underway. The bridge refurbishment is scheduled to run through late September 2026, with the castle walkthrough and La Tanière du Dragon — The Lair of the Dragon — confirmed to remain open throughout via alternate entrances.
