Disneyland Makes Surprising Closure Announcement Affecting April 2026 Guests
Disneyland Resort has a message for guests booked this month: several rides you may have been counting on won’t be available. Across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, six attractions are either already offline or heading into refurbishment before April is over — and most come with no reopening date.
Toy Story Midway Mania!

Disneyland Resort announced back in February that the Pixar Pier shooter would close on April 6, leaving guests only a narrow window to experience it this month. No return date has been confirmed.
The attraction has been running Disneyland70 anniversary graphics and cosmetic upgrades since last summer. Because that celebration extends through August 9, 2026, those enhancements will likely still be in place when the ride returns online.
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

A second interactive shooter exits service this month when Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters closes in Tomorrowland on April 13. Disneyland Resort has been quiet about both the timeline and scope of work planned for the Toy Story (1995)-themed ride.
Across the country, the Walt Disney World Resort equivalent — Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin — is slated to reopen April 8 with upgraded targets, redesigned blaster guns, and a new audio-animatronic robot named Buddy. Whether Disneyland Resort intends to implement similar improvements remains unconfirmed.
Silly Symphony Swings

Unlike the others on this list, Silly Symphony Swings won’t close until April 27, meaning most April visitors will get at least one shot at the Disney California Adventure Park attraction. The problem is what comes after: the Disneyland Resort website shows no scheduled operating hours for the ride beyond that date, with no reopening timeline in sight.
Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin

Guests arriving in April will already find this Mickey’s Toontown attraction behind construction walls. Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin closed March 30, and Disneyland Resort hasn’t offered a return date or any details about the work underway.
The ride last saw significant changes in December 2021, when updates gave Jessica Rabbit a revised costume and a more central role in the attraction’s storyline:
Disneyland Monorail

The Monorail also went quiet on March 30, closing the Tomorrowland station entrance to Disneyland Park along with it. Filed construction permits indicate crews are working on support pillars and electrical infrastructure, maintenance that keeps the aging transit system running but won’t produce any noticeable changes for riders once service resumes.
A reopening date has not been announced.
Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise has been out of service since February 17, and Disneyland Resort has said almost nothing about it. Initially, Disney said the Adventureland attraction would return within a week, but those dates were pulled from the website almost immediately.
Nearly two months later, Southern California theme park guests are still being directed to “check back” with no update, no timeline, and no explanation from Disney about the nature of the work.
