Then there’s the suggestion that The Hand may be involved, which would take the story beyond scattered attacks and into something more organized behind the scenes.
The Conflict Feels More Complicated Than Ever

A mysterious figure tied to the mind-control storyline appears briefly, with the film clearly holding back that reveal for later. At the same time, Peter’s personal life continues to unravel.
MJ still doesn’t remember him, and now she appears to be with someone new.
The trailer frames this character as a romantic obstacle rather than a traditional villain, but that doesn’t make it any easier to watch. There’s already speculation that this new love interest could be Paul Rabin, a character known in Spider-Man lore for creating serious tension in Peter’s life.
