‘Star Wars’ Every Major Installment Coming in 2026

Lucasfilm is set to deliver one of its busiest release schedules in recent years as Star Wars expands across theaters, streaming, gaming, and publishing.

The franchise’s upcoming slate continues to explore multiple eras, introducing new characters while revisiting established favorites.

The year’s biggest milestone will be the franchise’s return to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu, scheduled to release May 22.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the film continues the Disney+ series and follows Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu as they navigate a galaxy still dealing with the Empire’s collapse. Watch the official trailer below:

On television, Disney+ will remain a central hub for new storytelling.

The upcoming animated series Maul — Shadow Lord will explore the former Sith’s efforts to rebuild his criminal network following The Clone Wars. Meanwhile, Ahsoka Season 2 is currently in production and will continue the story of Rosario Dawson’s former Jedi.

Lucasfilm is also expanding its anime collaboration with Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi, which develops one of the most popular episodes from the anthology series into a full-length story.

Video games will give players new ways to explore the franchise’s vast universe. Star Wars Zero Company places players in control of a squad of specialists during the Clone Wars, while Star Wars: Galactic Racer focuses on high-speed competition in a racing league.

Both titles have received trailers and are scheduled for release in 2026.

Publishing will continue filling gaps between films. Ashley Poston’s Eyes Like Stars is set before The Force Awakens, Madeleine Roux’s Star Wars: Legacy follows Rey and Leia between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker, and Rebecca Roanhorse’s Edge of the Abyss continues the Reign of the Empire storyline focusing on early Imperial resistance figures.

Together, the projects highlight Lucasfilm’s ongoing strategy of telling interconnected stories across multiple mediums.
