NEW Dining Location Coming to Magic Kingdom Park This Fall
A brand-new dining experience is landing in Magic Kingdom Park in the coming weeks. After months of speculation and refurbishment walls surrounding a well-known Tomorrowland snack stand, Walt Disney World Resort has officially revealed what’s replacing the 31-year-old structure.
For over three decades, the Cool Ship kiosk stood as a familiar landmark in Tomorrowland, serving guests popcorn, soft drinks, and other classic Disney Park snacks. The kiosk, topped with a red spaceship reportedly reused from Disney’s Flight of the Navigator (1986), was one of Tomorrowland’s longest-running fixtures. In May 2025, Walt Disney World Resort quietly updated its official website, listing the dining location as “temporarily closed.” Within days, construction walls surrounded the kiosk, signaling that big changes were underway.

Throughout the summer, guests riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover watched the transformation unfold from above. Demolition crews removed the spaceship and tore down much of the old kiosk. By September, a new foundation had been poured and a completely rebuilt snack stand had been installed in its place. Still, Walt Disney World Resort remained silent about what was coming next.
Introducing AstroFizz
On October 27, 2025, Walt Disney World Resort confirmed the long-awaited answer. The newly redesigned Tomorrowland snack stand will reopen later this year as AstroFizz, a Coca-Cola–sponsored Quick Service dining location.

AstroFizz will serve popcorn and colorful frozen slushies in flavors like Fanta Orange, Coca-Cola, and Fanta Blue Raspberry. It will also introduce a brand-new treat, the Cherry Cola Churro, described by Disney as a “churro rolled in cherry sugar, drizzled with Coca-Cola Cherry icing, and topped with cherry popping candies.”
According to Walt Disney World Resort’s website, AstroFizz will also offer cotton candy and classic fountain drinks. The official dining description reads: “Fuel up at this space-age stand featuring buttery popcorn and fluffy cotton candy. Then, before you blast off again, cool off with a refreshing beverage—like frozen slushies or assorted Coca-Cola® Fountain Beverages.”

Walt Disney World Resort teased the new addition with a social media announcement that read, “Prepare for snack liftoff in 3…2…1 ???? AstroFizz is coming soon to #MagicKingdom!”
Opening Later This Year

Although Disney has not shared an exact opening date, AstroFizz is expected to debut “later this year.” As of now, the Walt Disney World Resort calendar lists the location as “no times available” through December 26, 2025.

The Astro Fizz sounds good. Especially on a hot Florida summer day.
