Disney World Quietly Confirms Major Toy Story Land Change

It looks like something big is happening over in Toy Story Land—but Disney isn’t shouting it from the rooftops. The colorful corner of Walt Disney World Resort is already known for its playful charm and massive crowds, and now a brand-new addition is taking shape right under everyone’s noses. For weeks, guests have noticed green construction walls pop up around part of the land, sparking plenty of speculation about what might be coming.

Toy Story Land has gone through several refreshes over the years. Between new dining options, expanded walkways, and operational tweaks, it’s clear Disney has no problem making quiet adjustments that improve the guest experience without completely overhauling the land. When those walls go up, though, fans know something’s in motion.

Disney has finally confirmed what’s happening behind those walls—and it’s a bit of a surprise. A brand-new popcorn kiosk is being installed, and it’s not just any ordinary stand. It’s themed to look like a massive red-and-white striped popcorn box, complete with playful lettering that reads “Popcorn” and “and snacks” in a hand-drawn font.

A Playful New Touch

The location of the new snack stand is right near the entrance to Toy Story Land. It’s designed to mimic an open-topped popcorn box, with “kernels” spilling out of the top. This is more than just a food spot—it’s a clever visual piece that blends right into the land’s oversized toy theming. Guests walking by will immediately get the sense they’ve stepped into Andy’s backyard.

This area previously housed a Toy Story Land sign, which has now been removed to make room for the new structure. It’s a subtle but telling move that shows Disney’s commitment to keeping the land fresh for returning guests.

Why It Matters

Closures like this may cause a little congestion in the short term, but the payoff is clear. With Toy Story Land often packed, an extra snack stand can help spread out crowds, reduce lines at existing kiosks, and give guests more options when they’re wandering between attractions. Plus, the scent of buttery popcorn drifting through the air? That’s a win for just about everyone.

What’s Next

The structure is already up behind the construction walls, which suggests an opening date isn’t too far off. Once complete, the snack stand will likely become a go-to stop for guests before jumping in line for Slinky Dog Dash or Alien Swirling Saucers.

This quiet but meaningful change shows how Disney can make small updates that make a big impact on the overall park experience.
