On the Fourth of July, guests at EPCOT were forced to seek shelter in the park’s China World Showcase Pavilion after an unexpected rainstorm hit the area. The downpour caused a rush of visitors fleeing the park, with many scrambling for cover as the storm rapidly intensified. JoJo’s World, a popular YouTube channel with over 1.4 million subscribers, captured the experience in a vlog, documenting the group’s reaction to the situation.
JoJo and his friends were enjoying the festivities at EPCOT when ominous clouds began to roll in, signaling the incoming storm. As they were walking between the Germany and China World Showcase Pavilions, the rain started to pour. The group ran for cover.
“That came out of nowhere,” the Walt Disney World Resort guest said. “… We’re stuck in China now,” referring to their sudden need to take shelter in the House of Good Fortune, the main merchandise store in the China World Showcase Pavilion.
“I spilled all of my beer,” JoJo continued. “My hands smell like beer… I’m glad my camera’s okay. It’s so wet.”
His video footage shows the empty EPCOT World Showcase Pavilion, with only a couple of guests braving the storm in ponchos.
“Wow. It’s good we came in here when we did,” JoJo commented. “There’s no way I can go outside right now. I have no protection.”
Fortunately, the rainstorm eventually passed, and guests were able to enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks at EPCOT, which were unaffected by the weather.
If you plan on visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the summer, be sure to pack a poncho or umbrella to stay prepared for those unexpected afternoon showers…even if there’s no rain in the forecast!

This was news worthy? Get over it, it’s just a rain storm.
Call that a storm, barely any rain when he was running 🤣for shelter
Not much of a rainstorm.
One year, got stuck in the men’s restroom beside Germany for at least a half hour during a thunderstorm. With about 30 other people, it had become a unisex rain shelter.
Before the rain ended, the water had covered the sidewalk outside and was creeping into the restroom.
THAT was a storm.
Before cell phones, too.
Would be more newsworthy if there was not an afternoon thunderstorm in Florida during the summer. Its called Southern Air Conditioning.
