Age Restrictions at Disney to Be Revised
Disney vacations are magical because there is something for everyone to do. In Disney Parks, the whole family, from grandparents to little ones, can have mystical experiences together. Together they can soar on Dumbo or visit Mickey Mouse for the first time.
Disney Parks aren’t the only Disney vacations perfect for the whole family. Disney Cruise Lines also provides fantastic holidays for the entire family. While on the ship, families can enjoy great shows, visit characters, and have great meals together.
Disney Cruise Lines is great for letting everyone have their fun. Adult-only areas and kids’ clubs provide fun for everyone. For families that take advantage of these areas during their Disney cruises, they will want to be aware of a significant change.
Disney’s Kids Clubs Changing
After reaching out to DCL ourselves, we at Disney Dining can confirm that Disney Cruise Line will be updating the ages for Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab across their ships.
This change will be implemented with sailings that depart on December 21, 2023. The following are the changes that will be put into place:
Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab will change from 3-12 to 3-10. Kids in the 11-12 age range will be allowed to visit Edge, the tween club for those ages 11 to 14.
Impact of Change
This quick change to Disney Cruise Line could impact guests traveling with kids in this age range. Although kids 11-12 will still have a great experience in Edge, the adjustment could cause some frustration for guests who might have kids in the 3-12 range who want their kids to be in the same club.
We aren’t sure what brought about this change for Disney Cruise Line, but we will continue to monitor this adjustment as sailings occur.
We love that Disney vacations are great for the whole family to enjoy together. Disney Cruise Line is a fantastic option for families wanting to enjoy some magic together and some time alone.
