There is shopping everywhere you go on Disney property. There are multiple stores in each park and each resort has at least one shop as well. There are so many different varieties of souvenirs and merchandise that it can be difficult to decide which ones to bring home. Of course it’s all a matter of personal taste (and budget) but here are 7 souvenirs that we think are totally worth the money at Disney:
7. Mugs
The coffee mug choices at Disney are endless. Many of the stores at Disney have at least one wall dedicated to mugs. They’re also very practical and an affordable souvenir choice. What’s great about the mugs at Disney are the different styles of artwork, characters and movies that are available. You can add a little Disney to your morning coffee, your tea at night, or if you don’t drink coffee or tea, use a mug as a penholder on your desk. They’re also an easy souvenir to pack in your luggage!
6. Christmas Ornaments
Why not celebrate the most wonderful time of year with ornaments from the happiest place on earth? Disney has Christmas merchandise available all year and they even have a couple of Christmas-only themed shops at the parks, like Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. There is a large selection of Ear Hat ornaments, which feature different characters or films. There are also Christmas balls shaped like a classic Mickey as well as many other options. Ornaments are a great way to bring a little Disney home and remember your vacation over the holidays. Make it a tradition and pick up a new Disney ornament each time you visit.
5. Music
Music and soundscapes are a big part of the Disney experience. Some of the attractions sell soundtracks, for example The Haunted Mansion has had a CD available in the past featuring Grim Grinning Ghosts and sound clips of the original recordings from the ride. Pirates of the Caribbean also has a soundtrack available. You may have to search in the stores or ask a cast member to point you in the right direction, since the CD’s don’t seem to be featured front and center, but once you find them there are some real treasures. There are soundtracks featuring parade music and Wishes! Missing Disney World and wish you were there? Put on some theme park and attraction music and you’re guaranteed to feel better!
4. Artwork
One souvenir we always get on a trip to Disney is a character sketch by a Disney artist. Sometimes you can even watch the animators drawing these in the Art of Disney. You can commission a particular sketch and color and a Disney artist will draw the sketch just for you, giving this particular piece of artwork a more personal touch. If the sketches aren’t for you, there is an array of prints available in multiple styles featuring everything Disney. There are also figures that are lovely display pieces to bring home. The Jim Shore figures in particular are quite popular. Again, a piece of Disney World to bring home and remember your vacation.

3. Collectables
There are a few things that Disney fans really enjoy collecting. One of the main collectable items at the parks are the Vinylmation figures. If you enjoy collecting figures or completing a series, Vinylmation is the perfect souvenir for you. There’s also an element of surprise, because you don’t know which figure you’re getting until you open it. Another great souvenir to collect are pins. Technically these may not be considered collectables, because they can be traded in the parks, but people do have collections of pins. The pins are an affordable souvenir and the options can be overwhelming, how do you pick just one? Another affordable souvenir that people collect are pressed pennies, which are available throughout the parks and feature characters as well as attractions at Disney. It’s fun to pick which penny you want to press yourself and add to your every-growing collection.
2. T-shirts
T-shirts are a fantastic souvenir to remember your trip. You can get t-shirts featuring the year of your visit, or something memorable to you, like the t-shirts with Dole Whips and Turkey Legs on them, and of course Disney characters. There are also attraction t-shirts – what better way to take a piece of your favorite ride home than an Expedition Everest shirt or Tower of Terror tee? At Disney Spring’s Disney Design-A-Tee by Hanes you can make your own t-shirt design!
1. Ears
The most classic Disney souvenir, and totally worth the money, has to be Mickey ears. There are ears for everyone, be it the original Mouseketeer ears, or ears featuring the newest Disney movie. There are ears to mark special occasions, such as the bride and groom ears. The parks may be the only place you want to wear them, but you can always bring them to wear on your next visit, and put them on display at home. They are totally unique to Disney, the iconic souvenir, and the perfect way to show your Disney side.
