7 Reasons You Will Love Staying At Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk Inn

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is a one-of-a-kind resort. There is so much to do for people of all ages that you couldn’t possibly be bored at this hotel! The BoardWalk’s fun mixed with its beauty and class makes this resort a force to be reckoned with. Don’t believe me? Check out these 7 reasons that I think you will love staying at the BoardWalk:

7. The Views

Three resorts, a fleet of boats, and one lake make up for some pretty spectacular views. And this resort wants you to enjoy them! The BoardWalk gives its guests so many opportunities to soak up the sights, like wicker rocking chairs on the porch, cushioned chairs in the garden or benches on the actual boardwalk overlooking the lake. They’re all awesome and provide a wonderful way to relax and soak up that beautiful Florida sun.

6. The Nightlife

When you hear the phrase “great nightlife” some people might not automatically think Disney, but Disney does nightlife right. The BoardWalk is no exception. It is home to many bars and clubs, which really cater to the interests and enjoyment of adults. Jellyrolls is a piano bar for guests over 21 years of age and is actually one of the more popular spots in Orlando. It’s a great time for adults to grab a drink, listen to some great music and relax. Similarly, the Atlantic Dance Hall is just for those 21 and over and is a great spot to let loose and get down!

5. The Streetmosphere

While the BoardWalk provides lots of opportunities for adults to have fun, there’s still plenty for the whole family! This resort has great Streetmosphere, or…Boardmosphere in this case. There’s so much to see and smell and do at all hours of the day here. During the day, there are lots of food carts and people just having a nice time. But at night, the real party starts! There are lots of fun things to do like hangout at the Abracadabar, go to the ESPN Club to watch the game, and check out some of the BoardWalk’s fantastic street performers, like a magician or juggler!

4. The Outdoor Fun

I think Disney was very intentional with its building of this resort. So much of its fun and charm happens out of the building and on the BoardWalk itself! Other than the amazing, zany pool area, the backyard of this resort is constantly hopping with fun activities, like boat rides, fishing and miniature golf. My favorite thing to do and see is ride the Surrey Bikes! These 2, 4, or 6 person bikes are classic and extremely fun. With the surrey bike rentals, you and your party and ride all around the BoardWalk and to its surrounding resorts. Watch out for the hills though: they’re brutal.

3. The Ease

One of my favorite things about the BoardWalk, even if I’m not staying there, is the ease of it. This great hotel rests right on Crescent Lake and is a convenient 5 minute boat ride to Epcot and 20 minute ride to Hollywood Studios. You can even walk to both parks if you want to! You can basically roll out of bed and right on over to your favorite park. How cool is that?

2. The Dining Options

Another fantastic feature of the BoardWalk is that because it extends so far, there are about a dozen dining options to choose from! Since the BoardWalk is so close to the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, guests can take advantage of their wonderful restaurants too! Not to mention you could just pop over to World Showcase if you really wanted! There are lots of quick serve and casual dining options right in the hotel and on the boardwalk itself, like the Pizza Window or the BoardWalk Bakery, Ample Hills Creamery, and the ESPN Club and Trattoria al Forno (which includes a breakfast character dining experience!). But then there are signature, unique dining places like Flying Fish and Big River Grille & Brewing Works. Lots to choose from, but all so good!

1. The Nostalgia

This hotel has it all: fun, functionality, and beauty to go around. Its turn of the century decor extends throughout the property and makes the whole place feel elegant and nostalgic. While the outside of this hotel is usually loud and hopping, the inside is quiet and comfortable. Upon entering the resort, you are greeted with oversized, plush couches and a massive carved chandelier. You’ll also probably hear the soft tinkling from the miniature, musical carousel that sits majestically over the lobby. These little touches are all over the hotel, like in the carvings of old Atlantic City rollercoasters or framed photographs from the glory days. Even the music that dances through the halls bring you back to a simpler time filled with glitz and glam and grace.
