Epcot’s Mexico pavilion is home to three restaurants, each of which has a different Mexican flare to it. The San Angel Inn is a romantic, restaurant in an intimate setting along the water, which serves both lunch and dinner in the park. While dining, you’ll have the feel of an outdoor Mexican Riviera dining experience, but you’ll escape the Florida heat by being indoors. Whether you enjoy a meal here on a date or with your kids, you’ll be sure to love the food, fun, and atmosphere!
5. The location
Upon walking inside the Mexico pavilion, which is a Mayan pyramid in itself, you enter an outdoor marketplace scene, which makes you feel as if you are actually shopping at a street market in Mexico. Past the market is the San Angel Inn restaurant is a picturesque background of ancient Mayan ruins, which give your dining experience an extra “oomph” of atmosphere.
4. The signature margaritas
I am not 21 yet, but I was told by my father that I must include this drink in my review. The avocado margarita is a must-try drink when dining here at the Mexico pavilion. This sweet drinks combines some of the exotic flavors native to Mexico, including both tequila and avocado, for an alcoholic drink sure to satisfy anyone looking to escape to Mexico for a bit.
3. The music
What is a Mexican meal without a Mariachi band? Every so often, during your dining experience, you’ll be serenaded by the guitar, ukulele, and trumpet of the band, which adds to the Mexican market atmosphere.
2. The endless chips
My favorite part of enjoying a Mexican meal would have to be the chips. (Endless chips, I should add.) Even better, these chips are made in-house, so they always come out warm and freshly salted, accompanied by two types of salsas: a smoky red salsa, and a salsa verde made from sweet tomatillos.

1. The intimate atmosphere
As far as Disney restaurants go, the San Angel Inn is one of the most quiet and serene places to dine. It is a perfect date-night location for those looking for a night out in Walt Disney World. For added ambiance, you’ll dine by candlelight along the river, for a meal that feels like you really are in the Mexican Riviera.
