5 Things You Will Love About Coral Reef Restaurant

Coral Reef

Walt Disney World is home to endless dining options, many of which can be found in Epcot. Thanks to a diverse park, Epcot is home to many different full service dining locations in World Showcase and several locations in Future World. One of the most unique restaurants in Epcot can be found nestled inside The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion in Future World and it allows guests to feel as though they are dining under the sea. The Coral Reef Restaurant is a favorite of many guests as it features a beautiful décor, delicious cuisine with a focus on seafood, and sweeping views of the pavilion’s aquarium. Guests will love dining on unique meals while watching the sea life float past! Here are five things that guests will love about the Coral Reef Restaurant!

5. Atmosphere

From the moment guests enter into the Coral Reef Restaurant, they are greeted by a nautical theme evoking the soothing waves and the motion of the ocean. Guests can enjoy curved accents, overhead lights that evoke jellyfish, and lighting that suggests that they are under the surface with the sun shining above. Once inside the main dining room, guests are treated to floor to ceiling windows looking into a massive aquarium that is home to dozens of species of sea creatures including turtles, sharks, sting rays, and countless fish. The dining area is set up with multiple levels so that all those who are dining have clear views of the beautiful aquarium.

4. Fish Guide

When guests are seated at their table, they are given a large guide which features a picture and description of each type of fish and sea creature in the aquarium. Throughout the meal guests can peruse the guide and try and spot everything from a shark to a giant turtle floating by. A great way to get the whole family involved is to see who can spot the most sea creatures!

3. Dedication Plaque

One of the most historical details of the entire Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion can be found just outside the entrance to the Coral Reef Restaurant and it pays homage to the original version of the pavilion. When Epcot first opened, the pavilion was titled The Living Seas and it featured an attraction that took guests to the ocean floor to Sea Base Alpha. In 2007, the pavilion was updated to include characters from the Pixar film Finding Nemo. Guests who are dining at the Coral Reef Restaurant can search nearby for the original dedication plaque for The Living Seas and learn a little about the rich history of Epcot!
