Calling all Disney fans and Halloween junkies, here are some updates on offerings from Disneyland Resort this spooky season. If you’ve been itching for seasonal dĂ©cor and your favorite Disney characters rocking Halloween looks, the time is almost here!
Disneyland park
Don’t miss the Main Street Pumpkin Festival – the attraction of hand-carved pumpkins in the shapes of Disney’s most influential characters at the very entrance of the park.
Meet Jack Skellington and other characters from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)! The Disney Parks Blog promises they’ll be haunting the halls of Haunted Mansion Holiday. This version of the Haunted Mansion attraction is a seasonal overlay mixing the scenes and characters of the original ride with those from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Disneyland Resort culinary team says to keep your eye out for another spooky gingerbread house in the ride’s ballroom.
“Halloween Time” nighttime spectacular show “Halloween Screams” is back! This ghoulish good time features projections, special effects, and music, all centered around Disney and Halloween. The show is adored for its spooky and energetic atmosphere and a must see for Halloween park goers. Jack Skellington is the “Master of Scare-omonies” with his ghost dog Zero!
Disney California Adventure park
Cars Land as usual, will magically turn into Radiator Screams.
Guests can look forward to more rides featuring seasonal upgrades. In Cars land, Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree features a spooky soundtrack and for the time being will be known as Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters gets a Halloween music twist and goes by Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween. Disney Parks Blog shares that Cars Forklift character, Guido, will sport a costume for the first time!
In Avengers Campus, the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! ride becomes Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, described as “a scream-worthy adventure to save Groot from creatures running amok in The Collector’s Fortress.”
Downtown Disney
Will you spot all the Disney character-themed pumpkins hidden in Downtown Disney? They’ll be around town from September 8 to November 1 for Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit. In addition to holiday pumpkins, the Downtown Disney District will sport some fall dĂ©cor and offer more fall entertainment.

Disney Parks Blog promises Halloween home dĂ©cor and collectibles! Expect themed “bites and beverages” (new and returning) of fall flavors. Pumpkin fritters and a Halloween cake, anyone? Disney Dining will keep you updated when all the treats have been revealed!
