1. Views from Above

Just recently two new beautiful sights have been added to the Walt Disney World landscape.  With the opening of Grand Destino Tower and Disney’s Riviera, guests can now enjoy two spectacular views from high up.  From the Grand Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, guests can see Epcot and Hollywood Studios from afar.  In the evenings, one can enjoy a drink while catching parts of the fireworks from each of these parks as well as the glow from Galaxy’s Edge. Disney’s newest resort, Disney’s Rivera, offers a similar experience.  From the top of the resort, guests can enjoy a meal at Topolino’s Terrace while taking in the fascinating views. Guests can see the skyliner, Caribbean Beach Resort as well as glimpses of Epcot and Hollywood Studios in the distance.

2. Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers another spectacular view for guests to enjoy at Walt Disney World.  At the Contemporary, guests can enjoy watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks each evening.  There are many unique areas that guests can watch from, but the views from California Grill are top notch.  Guests can see the full display of the fireworks, Cinderella’s Castle, Space Mountain and the monorail from this point of view making it one of the most delightful sights one can experience in Walt Disney World.

3. Hot Air Balloon

When visiting Disney Springs, guests can take flight on a hot air balloon.  From 400 feet in the air, guests can take in a 360 degree look at Disney Springs and the surrounding area such as Saratoga Springs.  This 8-minute hot air balloon ride costs $20/adults and $15/child (ages 3 to 9) but provides one of the most unique views in Walt Disney World.

4. Resorts Views

Some of the most beautiful views in Walt Disney World can be found at the resorts on property.  Each Disney resort brings to life a magical destination transferring guests to tropical paradises, luxurious estates and more.  Disney’s Polynesian Resort provides guests a tropical escape into the South Pacific.  Throughout this resort guests can find gorgeous landscaping with lush flowers and water features that truly sweep them away.  Guests can also enjoy pretty sights of the Seven Seas Lagoon from the beach of the Polynesian. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa brings a Victorian style to Disney.  A 5-story breathtaking lobby is filled with natural light from the stained-glass domes.  This light reflects onto the chandeliers that glisten delightfully throughout the lobby.  In the lobby, guests can sink into luxurious furniture while enjoying the sounds of the orchestra.  Out on the grounds of the resort, perfectly manicured lawns welcome guests to slow down and stroll around.  There is also a beach area that is like the Polynesian offering excellent views of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Around Crescent Lake there are numerous appealing views that guests will want to experience while in Disney.  Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Yacht and Beach Club Resorts have spectacular views around the lake.  Guests can walk around the lake itself, grab a boat ride or even ride a bike to take in the sights.  Whether it is the upbeat atmosphere of the boardwalk or the elegance of the New England seaside, guests will be sure to find sights around Crescent Lake that are truly stunning.

5. Seven Seas Lagoon/Bay Lake

Another excellent place to experience beautiful views is around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.  Located right outside of the Magic Kingdom, these two water areas provide guests with numerous gorgeous sights.  These waterways can provide some of the most outstanding views of Disney’s resorts.  The Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Bay Lake Tower all come to life from the water.  In the evenings, or as the sun rises over the water, some of the most special scenes on Disney property come to life as these grand resorts are reflected onto the water in all their magnificent glory.

6. Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some of the most spectacular views in a Disney park.  The natural beauty found around every corner is something guests can only experience at this park.  Catching a glimpse of Expedition Everest from a distance, seeing the temples in the Maharajah Jungle Trek or walking one of the many nature trails throughout the park all bring a breathtaking beauty to the park.  It seems that at every turn guest are able to experience amazing and splendid sights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

7. World Showcase

When visiting Disney’s World Showcase in Epcot, guests will want to take time to stop and enjoy all the marvelous sights.  Starting with the gorgeous World Showcase Lagoon and continuing into each pavilion, the sights around the World Showcase are some of the most unique and spectacular in Disney.  Each specific pavilion transfers guests to a new and special country with details that bring to life the culture, sights and sounds of the country.   The ponds in Japan, gardens in Canada, trains in Germany and the overall architecture in Morocco will have guests amazed as they walk around the World Showcase.

8. Spaceship Earth

Epcot’s icon Spaceship Earth is one of the most beautiful sights in Walt Disney World.  This 18-story geosphere is an astounding architecture structure.  With over 11,000 tiles, this icon can be photographic from any angle and provide a stunning image.  At night, Spaceship Earth becomes even more of a fascinating sight as it is illuminated with lights and lasers.

9. Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a must see for all Disney guests.  Standing 145 feet tall, this baobab tree is a magnificent sight to see.  With around 8,000 branches and 102,000 leaves, this uniquely designed and imagined tree is a sight to see.  The approximately 300 carved animals are a wonderful sight all on their own; however, the truly amazing sight is at night when the Tree of Life is brought to life during the Tree of Life Awakens.  Day or night, up close or from afar, the Tree of Life is one of the most beautiful sights in Walt Disney World.

10. Cinderella’s Castle

Most guests coming to Walt Disney World can agree that the most beautiful sight is the iconic Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom.  The most well known and most photographic icon in Walt Disney World is Cinderella’s Castle and for great reason as it is absolutely stunning in every aspect.  It doesn’t matter if the sun is rising or setting, if it is raining or sunny Cinderella’s Castle is the most beautiful sight in Walt Disney World.  It represents all of the magic found in Walt Disney World and is a breathtaking sight each and every visit.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
