5 Best Table Service Restaurants in Epcot’s World Showcase

Credit: DisneyDining.com

There are so many wonderful restaurants found throughout EPCOT’s World Showcase that it is hard to pick favorites. However, to help you decide which to select when making your next Advanced Dining Reservation, here are what I believe to be the top five.

  1. La Hacienda de San Angel

Located on the edge of World Showcase Lagoon in the Mexico pavilion, La Hacienda de San Angel is a hidden gem of the World Showcase.  This restaurant serves up Mexican favorites like shrimp tacos and chicken al pastor. The complimentary chips and salsa are deliciously authentic, and the margaritas can’t be missed. All that said, this restaurant is best experienced in the evening right before Epcot Forever is scheduled to start. You’ll be ready for dessert right when the lights of the restaurant are dimmed, the soundtrack starts, and the globe in the middle of the lagoon lights up. A window seat in La Hacienda with a margarita in your hand while watching Epcot Forever is what makes this restaurant one of the top spots in the World Showcase.

  1. Via Napoli

When you are looking for the best slice of pizza in all of Walt Disney World, then look no further than Via Napoli.  Located in the back of the beautiful Italy pavilion, Via Napoli is home to creative Italian-inspired starters and thin crust pizzas.  The pizzas are designed to serve two, but these pies are so large that they can easily serve a modestly hungry family of four.  The centerpiece of the restaurant is the large family style table in the main dining room.  Sitting here allows you to share a meal with other guests, as well as experience the fun of the open kitchen where you can watch the chefs prepare pizzas in one of the three wood fired ovens each named for an active volcano in Italy.

  1. Teppan Edo

This hibachi restaurant provides diners with both a great dinner and a show.  As you and seven of your closest family, friends, or new friends sit around the grill table, the Japanese chefs entertain you with their knife skills.  The chefs generally make a volcano out of onions, and sometimes they provide some additional Disney magic by making a Mickey out of vegetables.  In addition to the great interaction with a cultural ambassador, the food at Teppan Edo is delicious.  Everything is cooked right before your eyes so it is fresh and hot as soon as it hits your plate! Teppan Edo should certainly be on your list of considerations when making your World Showcase Advanced Dining Reservations.

  1. Chefs de France

The closest best thing to actually sitting on the sidewalk of a Parisian cafe is a window seat at Chefs de France.  The view you can get, and the people watching you can do, from this seat easily contends against any you can in France.  The servers here are welcoming and work to make your meal an experience you won’t forget.  The menu here shares such French specialties as escargots and roast duck, and nothing compliments a meal quite like a glass of French wine. Among the food, the wine, and the atmosphere, Chefs de France is a top restaurant of the World Showcase.

  1. Le Cellier

No trip to the World Showcase is complete without dining at this famous restaurant modeled after a Canadian wine cellar.  Le Cellier is renowned for its filet mignon and mushroom risotto, but is world famous for its cheddar and beer soup (made with Moosehead Lager) and pretzel breadsticks.  You could make an entire meal out of the soup and pretzel bread, but meat lovers would be remiss if they did not partake in the filet. Le Cellier is a tiny restaurant and, as a result, tables are hard to come by.  Therefore, be sure to get that advanced dining reservation as close to 180 days away from your arrival as possible in order to ensure yourself a seat at one of the most coveted restaurants in all of the World Showcase.

While a good meal can certainly be had at other establishments like the Rose and Crown Pub, Nine Dragons, or the Biergarten, dining at one of these restaurants will surely make your visit to the World Showcase memorable.

About Angela Spece

An attorney by trade, Angela has a passion for all things Walt Disney World. She took her first steps into the Magic Kingdom in the fifth grade and has been a lifelong fan of Walt Disney World ever since. While she spends her days writing briefs and memos, in her spare time she enjoys writing about and sharing her Walt Disney World experiences with her family and friends in an effort to help them enjoy their time in Walt Disney World as much as she does. Angela and her husband, Gabe, recently discovered all of the amazing “adult” drinking and eating opportunities that can be found in Walt Disney World, and have made it their own personal goal to visit all of the pubs and lounges on property. When Angela is not daydreaming about or planning her family’s next trip to Walt Disney World, she enjoys snow skiing, spending time with her husband, fixing up their new home, and taking their black lab, Pearl, for a long walk each day!
