Disney To Entice Guests With New World of Imagination

This year, the Walt Disney World Resort is inviting fans from around the globe to help shape something truly magical: the World of Imagination. The newly launched campaign invites guests to share their most treasured memories, best tips, and favorite moments from their vacations to help build a website dedicated to celebrating the heart of the Disney experience—its guests.

“We’re creating a new website to showcase the unique and unforgettable experiences that make a Walt Disney World holiday truly magical,” reads a recent Disney email introducing the campaign. The note encourages fans to take part in a few simple steps:

  • “Think of a short hint, tip, or memory to share.”
  • “Choose the photo or video that best illustrates it.”
  • “Click the button below and start uploading.”

Titled “Be part of our World of Imagination: Magical Memories & Top Tips From Our Guests,” the initiative concludes with: “So, whether it’s the warm Disney greeting, the dish you still crave, favourite spots to chill or enjoy family fun, Character meets or your no.1 tip, we can’t wait to hear!”

As Disney continues to evolve its parks and guest experiences, this new push toward user-submitted content offers a deeply personal perspective during a time of big moves and new beginnings.

May 22, 2025, marks a monumental day for theme park fans everywhere. That’s when Universal’s Epic Universe officially opens its gates in Orlando, joining Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay as the fourth park experience in Universal’s portfolio. Some have even gone so far as to label Epic Universe a “Disney killer,” but Disney appears undeterred by the arrival of a new gate next door.

While there’s been no formal confirmation of a fifth theme park at Walt Disney World, one industry insider hints that an announcement could be on the horizon within the next 12 to 16 months. In the meantime, Disney is doubling down on ambitious expansions and reimaginings across its current four parks.

At Magic Kingdom, Frontierland is set to undergo a bold transformation, bringing beloved stories to life through new areas inspired by Pixar’s Cars and the Disney Villains. Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Tropical Americas reimagining of the now-closed DinoLand U.S.A. continues to move forward, promising new adventures that celebrate the Encanto and Indiana Jones franchises.

Hollywood Studios is also embracing big change. Plans are underway to turn Grand Avenue into a fully themed Monsters, Inc. area, while Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is being rethemed with none other than the Muppets as the new stars of the show.

And at EPCOT, following the debut of World Celebration in 2024, the park will reopen a reimagined Test Track in 2025, continuing its journey toward innovation and guest connection.

Behind all the updates is a clear message: the guest experience is front and center. From new seasonal offers to an impressive milestone—having all six domestic Disney parks open simultaneously for the first time in six years just one day before Epic Universe’s launch—Disney is laying the groundwork for a dynamic summer.

Amid ongoing conversations about park accessibility and pricing, this new World of Imagination platform might just offer something refreshingly authentic. As guests are encouraged to share their stories, Disney is shining a spotlight on the emotional connection millions have formed with the parks over generations.

Whether it’s a first Character hug, a favorite snack, or the ride you always save for last, this celebration of magical memories might be Disney’s most heartfelt new addition yet.

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his… More »
