What To Know About Epcot’s France Pavilion at Walt Disney World

Guests are sure to find excellent food, drink and entertainment at Disney’s France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.  With new rides and food coming in the next few years, guests will want to make sure France is on their bucket list when visiting Epcot on their next vacation.

1. Atmosphere

The first thing that guests need to know about the France Pavilion is to take in the atmosphere.  Aspects of France have been brought right into the World Showcase to make guests feel like they are truly walking the streets of France.  Right away guests will notice the replica of the Eiffel Tower towering over the pavilion.  From there guests can enjoy the fountain, side carts and music all inspired by the sights and sounds of France.

2. Food

Food is definitely something guests need to know about when heading to the France Pavilion.  There are numerous restaurants that many guests don’t even know about as they are hidden within the pavilion.  In the morning, guests can enjoy pastries, cheese platters and small sandwiches at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie.  This is one of the few places in the World Showcase that opens at 9am instead of 11 making it a great option for breakfast while taking in the sights of the morning.  L’Artisan des Glaces is a wonderful place to grab an ice cream or sorbet.  With 16 flavors and numerous topping choices, and even the ability to add liquor for adults, everyone is sure to find something delicious here. For those looking for more than a quick bite to eat, there are two options in France.  Les Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul are both sit-down dining options in the pavilion.  Les Chefs de France has an extensive drink list as well as both land and sea options.  Monsieur Paul is a signature restaurant offering only dinner and cooking up French cuisine guests will be shocked they can find at Disney.

3. More Food Coming Soon!

Coming this summer is a brand new creperie.  La Creperie de Paris will be both a table service and quick service location where food will be created by the outstanding Chef Jerome Bocuse.  Guests will be able to get both sweet and savory options soon at this new and exciting food spot.

4. Serveur Armusant

One of the main entertainments that guests are going to want to stop and watch is Serveur Armusant.  These acrobats use their talent to balance, climb and stack a variety of different objects.  The highlight that most look forward to is when they stack chairs and then climb on top.  Check the times guide or keep your eyes opened for this spectacular show.

5. Meet and Greets

France is a great place to meet a variety of different beloved characters.  Guests will want to use the times guide to see when specific characters are meeting throughout the France Pavilion.   Belle, and sometimes her Beast, will meet around the pavilion as will Marie and Aurora.  Many don’t think of characters while in the France Pavilion, but it is a great spot to catch a quick photo.

6. See a Show

Two shows are currently showing in the France Pavilion.  Impressions de France is an 18 minutes show that celebrates the sights, sounds and culture of France.  When this show isn’t playing, guests can enjoy the new Beauty and the Beast Sing Along.  Enjoy the music from this beloved movie along with a few twists and turns.

7. Shops

Wine, perfume and good shopping comes to mind when thinking of France and the France Pavilion brings these touches to the World Showcase.  Guests can buy perfume at Plume et Palette and sample wine at La Maison du Vin.  Unique gifts and touristy items can be found at Souvenirs de France.  Even though these shops are located in Epcot, they bring unique and high-quality items to the parks.

8. French Culture

One of the hidden gems that many guests don’t know about is the A Tale as Old as Time:  French Storytelling on Stage and Screen display.  These six gallery cases display costumes, music, artwork and more from French cinema, theater, ballet and opera.

9. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

The newest and some would claim the most exciting adventure coming to the France Pavilion is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.  Scheduled to open in summer of 2020 this ride based on the Pixar film Ratatouille will use a trackless ride system to maneuver guests through Gusteu’s.  This is definitely the number one thing not to miss in the France Pavilion.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

The France Pavilion provides guests visiting Epcot a unique food, drink and entertainment experience.  With numerous dining opportunities, an exciting new ride and special shows guests will have a wonderful time visiting the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
